Sad news for true journalism: MTV News website shutting down is a significant loss. When I was in college, I relied heavily on the MTV News website for my media course term papers. Being the music nerd that I am, I frequently visited the site to read old articles on different artists and music events.

This is just the beginning of what's to come. Don't stop buying books, and keep reading newspapers while they are still here. Seek out real journalism—it still exists... for now. 😑

Black Music Month: 26 years ago, Brandy & Monica collaborated on the monster single "The Boy Is Mine" and now in 2024 they came back together and made a cameo appearance in Ariana Grande video for her song "The Boy Is Mine" inspired by the duo song. Talk about a full circle moment!
