Give them time.

Pups often start out looking like awkward, gangly kids, which can be misleading. These pups typically display a less impressive physique in their early months, but you have to remember that they are on a journey toward developing the impressive traits characteristic of the breed.

Genetics play a major role in their physical development. If the puppy’s parents exhibit strong muscles, thick bones, well-defined thighs, well sprung ribs and blocky heads/muzzles, they have the genetic foundation to eventually show these traits. However, this transformation doesn’t happen overnight.

It can take up to two years for them to fully mature and reach their true physical potential. During this time, it’s very important to provide proper nutrition and age appropriate exercise. A diet rich in protein and essential nutrients will support muscle development and overall health.

Just look at Fabio here. He wasn't that impressive as a pup but matured well in my opinion ❤️
