Hi everyone.. We currently have a 18ft round 54in tall doughboy..
We have a family that is interested in taking our doughboy off our hands, however they were planning to reuse the existing liner. From what I think I’ve learned from this group is that liners cannot be reused? Is that correct? Our pool was installed in April 2021, so it’s not old enough to need a liner replacement just yet but since it’s getting disassembled, would a new liner be needed, or can they reuse the existing one when they rebuild the pool?
Also, no idea what kind of liner they would need if they do need to replace. Our pool installer did this to the liner when he was doing the job. Anyone know what type of liner this would be? We can’t find the pool paperwork anywhere. Is this an overlap expandable liner? Overlap ud liner? I’m pretty confident it’s not an e-z clip liner.
Thanks fam!

Ok…. I’m new to the pool stuff… never checked levels or dealt with this u til this year… put up my Intex 10x30 pool and have only used chlorine tablets in my floater… pool is clear… but has debris the bottom so I bought a vacuum and for the heck of it test strips lol tested the water yesterday and my ph and alkalinity are extremely low and my chlorine is high… I added baking soda and let the filter run for ten hours and rechecked this am and nothing changed lol… pool is still clear…. Everything I google says we can’t swim because it’s not safe!!!??? and it’s gonna be 90 today… any advice? P.s…. No negative comments… I have learned a lot from this group already and next year I will use pavers and kick the pool out as it’s filling… lmao!

Pool is FINALLY in… and I realized it doesn’t have the inside led light like my old one did 😭😭😭 I’m so sad. That light made my whole pool grow from the inside. I love night swimming, so now I have to find an aftermarket (solar) light that will light up this water in the dark. What do you guys use?!? Bonus points for adding pictures. It’s a 28 foot. Help!!!😭😭😭

Hi all!
We just put a pool in about 2 weeks ago. We had it put it professionally. The question we have is this….
The pool is buried about 2-3 feet in the ground.
We have about a foot amd a half or so between the pool and the grass. Nothing is in there yet.
What should we put in the ground around the pool? We’ve heard back filling with dirt would be too heavy and crash the sides in. The issue would be if we ever needed to drain the pool to change the liner. That’s when the sides could crash in. When water is in the pool the force is equal with the dirt. We’re thinking ahead in the future if we need to drian the pool and change the liner.
Ai said to use 1/4 size rock. We were also thinking to leave it like it is and place a deck all around it.
What are your thought? Has anyone buried some of their above ground pool?
When we bought the pool, the lady who sold us the pool said that this can be done and it would not be an issue. We even paid a little extra to have it done. But as we researched it we’re seeing that there is an issue with this. If you ever need to change the liner and drain the pool, that’s where the issue lies.
Ai also said to build a retaining wall or use railroad ties. Which is a lot of work.
We are enjoying the pool the way it is. ā¤ļø

Game changer !!! I'm gonna patent these !! In south west Virginia , sweat bees land in the pool by the dozens , then climb on you to get out of the water and instantly sting you..the skimmer hardly gets any of them...well here you go !! Let's chlorine floater right by with the right measurements . Half hour later , no bees , Japanese beetles or any other alive or dead bugs left floating ....all in the skimmer basket. If kids want to go in the pool, you just lift it up and drape it over the side .... Dimensions available upon request !! Happy pooling

Update:
Thank you so much everyone. I appreciate all the comments and advice. I will take the pool down move the tarp, move the sand, remove the w**d locker and go downward. Obviously not my finest moments....
Please be nice....
How bad is this? I used over 3000lbs of sand to level the ground. I even checked to make sure it was level with one of those level things. I filled the entire pool and it was 6" higher on one side and the filter didn't pump right. We had a lot of rain and I guess it sunk? I emptied the entire pool. Then figured out how high each side needed to go and I bought pavers of different thickness(still waiting on 2 to arrive, thus the pavers not in place)
The seam is higher than the ground. Is this ok? Will it last the season?
