I'M 72, AND I SAW A WOMAN MY AGE IN A SWIMSUIT, SHOWING OFF HER BODY AT THE BEACH. SHOULD SHE BE MORE MODEST AT THIS STAGE OF LIFE?
Yesterday, I went to the beach and saw something that left me questioning what's appropriate at our age. A woman, likely around my age, was confidently walking around in a revealing swimsuit, showing off her body as if she was 30 years younger. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for confidence, but at 72, isn't there a time when we should dress a bit more modestly?
Feeling compelled to say something, I approached her and politely mentioned that perhaps a bit more modesty might be more appropriate at our age. To my surprise, she just laughed at me. I was taken aback β€” here I was trying to give some friendly advice, and she didn't seem to take it seriously at all.
It made me wonder β€” shouldn't we be embracing grace and elegance as we get older? There's something about flaunting everything that just feels out of place for someone in her 70s. Am I being too old-fashioned, or should there be a point where we acknowledge our age and dress accordingly? What do you think? Full my story in the first comment πŸ‘‡

I SAW AN ADULT WOMAN WITH MULTIPLE PIERCINGS AND TATTOOS IN CHURCH, AND I FELT UNCOMFORTABLE. AM I WRONG TO THINK THERE SHOULD BE STANDARDS?
Last Sunday, I saw something in church that really unsettled me. A woman, probably in her 40s, walked in covered in tattoos and numerous piercings. To me, church has always been a place of modesty and reverence, and I couldn’t help but feel like her appearance was out of place in such a sacred space. I know everyone is different, but it just felt wrong to me. Shouldn’t there be some standards for how we present ourselves in a place of worship?
After the service, I saw her outside and decided to approach her. I tried to be polite, but I told her that I felt her look wasn’t really appropriate for church and maybe she should consider toning it down in such a setting. She looked at me like I was crazy and sharply replied, β€œIt’s none of your business how I look.” Her reaction shocked me, and I was left feeling even more confused.
Am I being too old-fashioned here? I just think that in church, a certain level of respect and modesty should be expected. Has anyone else experienced something like this? How did you handle it?

I FOUND OUT MY HUSBAND SWITCHES FROM HIS SUV TO A CHEAP OLD CAR EVERY DAY AND DRIVES SOMEWHERE – SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW HIM
"Your husband traded in his SUV for some old, beat-up car. Are you guys having problems?" my cosmetologist asked me during my appointment. I was confused and asked her what she meant. She said she sees him every day stopping by the toy store across the street from her office, then driving off.
At first, I thought she must be mistaken. But she suggested I stick around for another hour because he usually shows up around that time. So, I stayed... and sure enough, I saw my husband pull up in a rusty old car, wearing torn, dirty clothes, and head into the toy store.
I called him right away and asked where he was. He said, "I'm in a board meeting!" Right... So, I got in my car and decided to follow him to see what he was up to and why he was acting so strange.

MY MOM WAS LOCKED UP IN A CLOSET DURING MY WEDDING CEREMONY β€” WHEN WE FINALLY FOUND HER, WE WERE SHOCKED TO DISCOVER WHO DID THAT TO HER AND WHY.
I was always close with my mom, so we both dreamed about my wedding. We chose our outfits, had fun choosing the cake, and almost cried when we chose the song for the Father-Daughter Dance.
When my dad was taking me down the aisle, I shockingly found out that MY MOM wasn't among the guests. I immediately stopped the ceremony and asked my dad and brothers to look for her.
In about an HOUR, the church doors burst open. Mom stumbled in, followed by Dad and my brothers. Her perfectly styled hair was a mess, her makeup smeared, and her golden dress wrinkled.
"Mom!" I cried. "What happened? Where were you?"
But before she could answer, her eyes locked on someone in the front row. Her face contorted with rage.

POOR YOUNG MOM BUYS A CHEAP WASHING MACHINE & FINDS A SURPRISE INSIDE
Jessica faced a difficult financial period after the birth of her daughter Kathy. Now money was only enough for the essentials.
Then another problem knocked on their door: their washing machine broke down.
There was no point in getting the machine repaired, so Jessica sat down at the computer, looking for an affordable one.
An hour of searching led her to one suitable find, but it cost $250. Unfortunately, they couldn't afford it.
She decided to see the merchant in person and request a discount right then and there.
Upon arrival at the merchant's home, a man about Jessica's age opened the door. When Jessica entered, she saw that the entire house was in shambles.
"I wanted to talk about the price," Jessica said. "I can't afford to pay $250, and I can't extend my budget beyond $150. We just had a baby, and things are not so well financially. Could you please give me a discount?"
"Sure. I don't mind. $150 sounds like a good deal to me," he said absentmindedly and then turned around to lift the machine.
"Really? Thank you! Thank you so much!" Jessica felt herself the happiest person in the world.
When the young mother got home, the first thing she did was double-check the equipment's functionality.
However, as she opened the dryer to check the lint filter, she saw some sheets of paper.
Jessica put on her glasses to take a closer look. Suddenly, the woman's eyes widened in surprise.
There was a folded piece of paper in one corner with a message. "It's a gift for your newborn baby," it read. Whaaaat?!

MY MIL INSISTED ON BEING PRESENT FOR MY HOME BIRTH, BUT IN THE MIDDLE OF IT, SHE SLIPPED OUT OF THE ROOM, AND I HEARD STRANGE VOICES OUTSIDE.
When my husband and I decided on a home birth, my mother-in-law was all over the idea. She insisted that she had to be there, saying she wanted to "help" and "support us" through everything. I figured it would be nice to have her around, so I agreed.
But I went into labor began, I noticed something strange. She kept slipping in and out of the room, glancing over her shoulder as if she had somewhere else to be. I brushed it off at first, focusing on the pain and the rhythm of my breathing. Then, during a break between contractions, I heard it β€” muffled voices, LOTS of voices.
Confused, I asked my husband to check it out. He nodded and stepped out of the room, but when he returned, his face was pale and his eyes wide with disbelief.

I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW SOMEONE CAN COME TO CHURCH LIKE THIS!
Yesterday, I saw a young woman in church wearing a mini-skirt, crop top, high heels, and tattoos covering her whole body. I know people say that appearance doesn't matter and that faith is what counts, but honestly, I feel like the younger generation has lost all sense of respect, especially in a sacred space like church.
