Good grief, today marks 20 years of Was Ist Das?

What better way to celebrate than by reissuing the classic Human Greed album "World Fair" in a deluxe double cassette edition. When it originally came out in 2014 we raved about its brilliance and named it album fo the year so to now have this definitive version on our label on our 20th birthday feels like a full circle.

Simply one of the most beautiful yet haunting albums ever made. Chris Connelly (Finitribe, Ministry, Revolting C***s) gives a classic rendition of the old standard "Black Is The Colour". Other rguests include Sukie Smith of Madam, jazz singer Sophie Bancroft, guitarist Steven R.Smith and classical musician Duncan MacKenzie.

Oh, and then we have a whole bonus remix album created by Human Greed's principle members Michael Begg & Deryk Thomas with Colin Potter at ICR studios.

OK not the last announcement but the last song on the album goes to Dean McPhee who I just knew would sound amazing doing that final fanfare from the end credits.

The Wicker Man Wiki says that this is apparently derived from a Bulgarian folk song called "Zamrakanala Mona Jana" of which I struggle to find any trace. Messing around with Google Translate I get the claim that the title is in Arabic and means "You are not from heaven". That may be AI just talking
