Hi Facebook Friends. We are looking for a location to film a few scenes for a new Netflix documentary. We are looking to film mid-January. We are hoping to find the right home in Chandler, Mesa, or Tempe.

We are looking for a home in a nice neighborhood with an RV garage. The perfect location has large lots and is on a street without streetlights, or just a few streetlights. This will be a one-day shoot that will go into the night. We will be filming just in the garage and the front yard area. We would like to have access to bathrooms and spaces for makeup and wardrobe. We will have a number of extras and will hire off-duty police and of course we will paper the neighborhood.

Let me know if you have, or know of any homes that fit this description and would like to make a little cash.

I know we have so many options to watch these days, but we want to share a couple of fun options with local connections.

First, there is this true-crime documentary being released this Friday, August 22nd, on Netflix, The Truth About Jussie Smollett. For the recreations of the “mugging”, the RMP team turned Adams Street between First and Second Avenue into downtown Chicago during a “Polar Vortex”. Here is a link to the trailer. It was such a fun shoot. We also shot all the police office scenes in the studio at First Studio.

Our client RAW TV sent Directer, Gagan Rehill, and DP, Ryan Parker, for the three day shoot. The local cast featured Antonio Berry, Andrew Jones, Tony Crossetti, Aamani Anderson, Tina Dickens, Josh Kontak, Richard Dickenson. The local crew included Shelly Ortiz, Stephen Russell, Christina Felix, Ryan Hart, Hector Primero, Jarrod Wilson, Mark Harrison, Lee Lutsby, Mike Rea, Aeni Domne, Jennifer O’Bannon, Daniel Koneugh, Zack Shisslak, Chuck Morriss, Cris Rankin, Daniel Hagner, Jonathan Hinkley, Patrick Matheson, Nathaniel Burns, Dani Green, and Randy and Theresa Murray.

The second show you may want to watch is a local TV show called The Morning Show hosted by Melissa Farley and Marshall Shore. Both are long time friends and amazing talents. You can catch the show on line and stay connected + , , .

As a long time TV producer this news reported by Heather Cox Richardson really caught my attention. I have always realized this but everyone should know it, specially if you think Trump is a successful businessman.

In an article in US News and World Report yesterday, NBC’s former chief marketer John D. Miller apologized to America for helping to “create a monster.” Miller led the team that marketed The Apprentice, the reality TV show that made Trump a household name. “To sell the show,” Miller wrote, “we created the narrative that Trump was a super-successful businessman who lived like royalty.” But the truth was that he declared bankruptcy six times, and “[t]he imposing board room where he famously fired contestants was a set, because his real boardroom was too old and shabby for TV,” Miller wrote. While Trump loved the attention the show provided, “more successful CEOs were too busy to get involved in reality TV.”

Miller says they “promoted the show relentlessly,” blanketing the country with a “highly exaggerated” image of Trump as a successful businessman “like a heavy snowstorm.” “[W]e…did irreparable harm by creating the false image of Trump as a successful leader,” Miller wrote. “I deeply regret that. And I regret that it has taken me so long to go public.”

Speaking as a “born-and-bred Republican,” Miller warned: “If you believe that Trump will be better for you or better for the country, that is an illusion, much like The Apprentice was.” He strongly urged people to vote for Kamala Harris. “The country will be better off and so will you.”

With Hurricane Helene Trump is proving he does not deserve our support. During his Presidency he was “flagrantly partisan” when responding to natural disasters. After horrific wildfires hit California he refused to approve disaster aid to a “Democratic state”. He only changed his mind after one of his aides pointed out that Orange County, which had been badly damaged in the fires, “had more Trump supporters than the entire state of Iowa.”

In contrast, Republican governors McMaster of South Carolina and Youngkin of Virginia both thanked Biden by name for what McMaster called a “superb” response to the devastation of Helene. Biden/Harris had 1,000 first responders in place before Helene hit. They mobilized the Army, Navy, Air Force and the Army Corps of Engine for search and rescue and to help deliver of supplies like food, water, and medicine to isolated communities. He deployed 50 Starlink satellites for communication on day one.

And when Trump visited Georgia? As reported by the AP, he “repeatedly spread falsehoods about the federal response to Hurricane Helene despite claiming not to be politicizing the disaster”

Trump is a liar and does not deserve our support.

Facts matter, the truth is super available. Trump paid to know the truth, so we know he knows. When someone says Trump won, we all know they are lying to us or themselves. Either way it is sad.

RMP was the production company for the recreations. Our client was RAW TV out of London, they sent a two wonderful directors, a DP and 1st AC. The rest of the crew is Arizona based and did a great job. A note from our clients stated "We were so lucky to have such a talented and committed crew on this and couldn't have done it without you. It's a series we feel very proud of and hope you do too." We shoot at locations in Phoenix, Mesa, and Gilbert for locations that looked like the Bay Area, LA and Lake Tahoe.
