As Arizona’s “Gub’nuh,” Greg Schulte, prepared to step into the Chase Field radio booth for his final regular-season homestand, he was surprised by a gathering of media and front office staff. Arizona Diamondbacks President, CEO & General Partner Derrick Hall greeted Schulte, his wife Nancy, son Scott and daughter Stephanie, and others who’d gathered as the Arizona Diamondbacks dedicated and renamed the booth the “Greg Schulte Radio Booth.” “We could not think of a better way to celebrate a career like Greg’s and the impact he has had on the Arizona Diamondbacks organization,” said Hall. “Greg’s voice is synonymous with D-backs baseball and generations of D-backs fans have experienced the game through listening to his calls on the radio. Now, his legacy will live on right here at Chase Field as the next generation of broadcasters make calls from the Greg Schulte Radio Booth.” Over the last 26 years, Schulte has called nearly 4,000 D-backs’ regular-season and postseason games. Angry Crab Shack is sharing the holiday spirit. Angry Crab Shack, the locally owned and operated seafood restaurant with bold Asian-Cajun flavors, has fundraised $75,000 for the Arizona Housing Coalition, a nonprofit that aids and provides resources to veterans experiencing homelessness and their families. Angry Crab Shack has partnered with the Arizona Housing Coalition for six years, and has donated over $250,000 to date, putting the restaurant at over $1 million in total charitable contributions since opening in 2013. This year’s donation was presented to the coalition at the grand opening ceremony for Angry Crab Shack’s 16th in-state location Nov. 22 in Tempe.
