There’s plenty of good reasons to tune in to KDUS AM 1060 to hear Bob Kemp's local and national sports opinions. Besides his more than 30 years of award-winning sports broadcasting and newspaper experience, Kemp was the National Sports Talk Show Host of the Decade (2000-09) by Sports Illustrated following his time at Sporting News Radio and AM 1060 in Phoenix. He is a member of the American Sportscasters Association (after being invited by Dick Enberg), and also part of the College Football Writers Association of America and College Basketball Writers Association of America. Kemp has worked at AM 1060 since July 2002 following 11 years as a national syndicated host for Sporting News Radio (previously One on One Sports and Sports Entertainment Network). His hard line approach, in addition to the Sports Illustrated recognition, has been praised by the Los Angeles Times, New York Newsday, the Boston Globe, the Arizona Republic and numerous other publications and web sites. Kemp made the switch to radio after nearly two decades working at newspapers, including positions as sports editor of The Courier in Prescott and sports writer for the Tucson Citizen. He was honored nationally by the Amateur Softball Association in 1988 for best coverage of a national tournament and was named Arizona Media Person of the Year in 1984 by the Arizona Interscholastic Association.
