In 1974, Golden West published its first cookbook. The Arizona Cook Book by Al Fischer (founder of Golden West). Retail price:$3.00 (+$0.50 for shipping). We still get checks in the mail for $3.50 and a handwritten note explaining that their original book is falling apart and they would like a replacement copy.
More than 500,000 copies later, converting 'Cook Book' to 'Cookbook,' and merging Golden West with American Traveler Press, it remains our best-selling state cookbook (out of 30 states represented). We love this book!
This cookbook now has a retail price of $10.95 (plus $3.99 shipping). Come see this historic artifact and more, tomorrow at our Anniversary Party. Well be at Changing Hands Phoenix, 300 W Camelback Rd, 2-4pm. Please join us!

Yesterday, we were talking about Lisa and Joe Liddy and their Bacon Lovers Cookbook. Today, it's The Herb Guy's Cookbook that is catching our attention.
