So, let's see. Your company has been slammed repeatedly on Yelp, your customer service people treat customers like dirt, and you're near bankruptcy. And you ask me if I can save your butt with $300 dollars for a professional voice over and a "radio campaign". Ah, no. But thanks for asking.

Your "branding campaign" starts the moment a potential client calls.

You're a very busy sole proprietor. You've invested thousands in training, software, state-of-the-art this and cutting-edge that. In your mind, you're the best in the business. So, what about your telephone voice message?

The right voice creates an immediate image of the speaker, and company, expanding your caller's expectations, building interest and calming those "first time jitters" when dealing with someone new.

For the first ten folks who contact me, I make this offer: I will record your business telephone message up to 100 words for $100. For more information, drop me a line.

"Nobody told me..."
Like many condo communities, ours traditionally throws a big 4th of July party for residents and guests. Hot grill, cold beer, 100 people, big pool...perfect. The next day, word gets around the building about how much fun people had. Simple "how'd you like the party?" questions between floors in the elevator were met with some blank faces. "When we were told of this?", "Nobody said anything to me", "First I'm hearing of it"...you get the idea.

All the residents ride the elevators at least twice a day, almost forced to read postings of events. They receive emails from the staff about upcoming events, hell, they have flyers and invitations pushed under their doors to keep them up to speed. So, what gives?

You're using the wrong sense. Despite the round-the-clock communications effort, nothing stuck. The printed message stayed on the page. Next time, consider adding a voice to your messaging. It will be remembered.

"You Never Close Your Eyes..."

If you're an American woman of a certain age, you most likely hummed that headline rather than read it. Why? Bill Medley's powerful, intoxicating voice is as alive in your mind today as it was when you first heard it in 1964. His voice made a powerful, memorable impact that nothing in print could ever make.

A voice artist will help you cut through the clutter of the marketplace, to be heard and remembered. That's what we do. Now, how may I help you? www.kentmcdonaldvoiceovers.com

5 Things To Remember When Dealing With A Vendor

At some point, we all become someone else's vendor, don't we? Acquiring services and products from vendors we don't know can be a real challenge. But keep a few important points in mind, and you're more likely to end up with a friendly, professional relationship, and a solution to your problem.

1) Prepare. Before the meeting, have a clear idea of your objective and how the vendor can help you realize it. This is not the time to be fuzzy.

2) Have a realistic strategy in place. Where are you now, where do you wish to be, and what role do you want the vendor to play in that process?

3) Know your budget and be ready to share that information with the vendor.

4) "I'll know it when I see it" is never an acceptable answer. Never.

5) Follow up. Follow up. Follow up.

Follow this simple steps and watch your vendors become your allies.

Every Saturday, my local newspaper carries a full page ad from a major local Realtor. The copy is prepared in what's generally referred to as "the over the top style"...endless strings of adjectives striving to make the commonplace extraordinary, to make the sow's ear a silk purse. But while the reader is either dazzled or lost in the copy, the intent of the ad goes missing.

If your listing is that extraordinary, consider using a voice artist to make your impression. Tone and pace replace confusing, unfocused messaging, and your audience sees the vision you want to present. Now, how may I help you? www.kentmcdonaldvoiceovers.com

Because words don't speak.

Inform? Yes. Educate? Also, yes. Photos inspire more easily, but the spoken word engages you, invites you to pay attention. Your audio files bulge, your bookcase holds anything but. We remember voices, we forget headlines.

You want your message to leave an impression beyond that on paper. How may I help you? www.kentmcdonaldvoiceovers.com. https://tinyurl.com/y8gfzz3l

3 reasons why you should have a professional create your telephone voice system:

1) It will give your business an instant professional upgrade.
2) It says “company”, when that “company” consists of you. Just you.
3) It’s an inexpensive improvement that pays off every day.

Possible client: "I have a hundred word script. You can do it in 30 seconds, right?"

Me: "yes, I can, but not be proud of it."

Possible client: "Ok great...when can you start?"
