I've seen, "that chick slap Johnny's face," a million times in my head. I've even got a quarter on the pool table, waiting my turn.

Did Dino's actually exist? Yes! Dino's Lodge was a dinner club on the Sunset Strip that was opened by Dean Martin in 1958.

As a kid, Phil Lynott's favorite American TV show was 77 Sunset Strip. The outside of Dino's was used for location shooting as an office building for the series, so, on Thin Lizzy's first US tour in 75, he went in search of...

After learning that 77 Sunset wasn't a real address, a bummed out Lynott shared his quest with a parking lot attendant.

"Oh, no sir! The building is real. It's right across the street."

Dino's Lodge would soon be chiseled into Thin Lizzy and rock and roll lore. Phil changed the name to "Dino's Bar and Grill" because it "sounded way cooler."

Any self-respecting establishment had its own ash trays.
