Paralyzed Veterans of America’s (PVA) National President and Chair of the Board Robert L. Thomas Jr., will be returning for a fourth straight year. And the rest of the organization’s executive committee will also be staying the same for the second straight year, too.
A 56-year-old Army veteran, Thomas was voted in by acclamation by the PVA Board of Directors, representing 30 PVA chapters, on Friday during PVA’s 80th Annual Convention at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.
Additionally, PVA National Senior Vice President Tammy Jones was voted in by acclamation, while National Vice Presidents Josue Cordova, Lawrence “Louie” Mullins Jr., Anne Robinson and Marcus Murray were each reelected, and National Treasurer Tom Wheaton and National Secretary Matthew Peeling were both voted in by acclamation. All ran unopposed. Terms will run from July 1, 2026-June 30, 2027. (Photo by PNO Staff).

Accessible travel is possible after a spinal cord injury — and healthcare professionals are leading the charge to make it a reality. The Abilities International Accessibility Conference, held alongside the Abilities Expo, is bringing together OTs, PTs, rehab specialists, and assistive technology experts to share knowledge and improve care for people with disabilities. With stops in Long Beach, New Jersey, and Chicago (June 11-12), this growing movement is reshaping what's possible for adaptive travelers everywhere.
