AMY ATELIER | “Styling and Creating for the Life You Want to Live”

Some stores sell clothes. Amy Atelier helps you step into a different version of yourself.

Amy Yount, founder of in Old Town Scottsdale, built her boutique around a distinctly New York idea: that great style is about curation, service, and a stylist who actually knows you. Having lived in NYC, she came back to the Valley determined to bring that experience with her — and she has, one hand-selected piece at a time. Every item in the store is chosen personally by Amy, sourced from the best retailers in New York, edited with intention. Not everything. The best of everything.

Photographer Stephen Simms leaned into the cinematic quality of that vision. The spread is pure atmosphere — black and white, palm shadows, a billboard-scale image of Amy in white lace on the left, while Amy strides through the frame in red and leather on the right, a little bit of a nod to Sarah Jessica Parker in S*x & The City. It’s aspirational and a little cinematic. Scottsdale by way of the West Village.

Because that’s what Amy Atelier offers: a team of stylists spanning every generation — from Amy’s mother to the younger set — who work closely with clients to elevate their look for the life they’re actually living. Door drops, personal styling sessions, mixing a Veronica Beard blazer with an Ulla Johnson dress in a way that feels entirely like you.
Curated for your life. Delivered to your door.

Story Behind the Spread | GEORGE ABRAMS EVENTS—“Events That Move You”

The best events don’t just look beautiful. They create a feeling people remember long after the night ends.

For more than twenty-five years, George Abrams, owner of , has become known for transforming gatherings into immersive experiences where every detail feels intentional, every transition effortless, and every guest completely taken care of. From luxury weddings and corporate celebrations to intimate private dinners and backyard parties, George is the creative force behind some of the Valley’s most memorable events — the one who thought of the flamenco dancer, sourced the tequila bar, selected the caterer whose menu perfectly complements the evening, and orchestrated every moving piece so seamlessly that guests never see the work behind it. His events feel effortless precisely because every detail has already been considered.

This spread was inspired by one of the spaces George is perhaps best known for transforming: the private home gathering. The kind of backyard party that becomes transportive — layered with exceptional food and drink, music, entertainment, and thoughtful details that turn a familiar setting into something unforgettable.

Photographer Stephen Simms captured the George Abrams experience exactly as it feels to attend one of his events: a stunning desert backyard, warm Arizona light filtering through the trees, a flamenco dancer mid-movement beneath the pergola, cocktails being prepared in the background — and George himself standing calmly at the center of it all, completely at ease, like someone who already knows the evening is unfolding exactly as planned.

Because that’s the hallmark of exceptional event planning: when the logistics disappear and all that remains is the atmosphere.

Twenty-five years. Countless unforgettable evenings. Events that move you.✨

Story Behind the Spread | BENEDICT’S CATERING & EVENTS—“At Your Service”

Some events are remembered for the guest list. Others are remembered for how they made people feel.

For decades, Benedict’s Catering & Events has helped define luxury entertaining in Arizona — producing polished corporate gatherings, elegant private celebrations, and high-profile events where every detail matters. From luxury retail brands to intimate dinners and black-tie receptions, Benedict’s has become known for a style of hospitality that feels seamless, refined, and deeply intentional.

At the center of it all is owner Dawn Kennington-Bejar, whose philosophy has always been simple: service sets the tone. The food matters. The presentation matters. But it’s the atmosphere — the feeling guests walk away with — that defines the experience.

For their latest The Scout Guide Phoenix & Scottsdale spread, photographer Stephen Simms captured that philosophy with striking simplicity. Dressed in a tuxedo jacket and bow tie, Dawn stands confidently alongside her service team, champagne being poured with practiced ease. The composition feels timeless — crisp black suiting, glowing champagne, restrained elegance, and a sense that every detail has already been anticipated.

The second image brings the focus even closer: a champagne flute mid-pour, a polished hand, the quiet luxury of impeccable service distilled into a single frame.

It’s hospitality without excess. Sophisticated, precise, and completely at ease in its own standard of excellence.

Because at Benedict’s, service isn’t just part of the evening. It defines it.

Catering for corporate and private gatherings — always at your service.

Story Behind the Spread | GARAGE BOUTIQUE & CONCEPT STORE
“Where Style Meets Play”

Some boutiques sell clothes. Others create a world families want to be part of.

That’s exactly what has become in the Valley under the vision of owner and founder Katie Wilson — a destination where luxury children’s fashion, imagination, and community all converge.

Part curator, part stylist, part community builder, Katie has become something of a fairy godmother of children’s fashion in Scottsdale. And when it came time to create her latest The Scout Guide Phoenix & Scottsdale spread, she didn’t simply style a photoshoot — she created an experience.

After putting out a model call on Instagram, over a hundred families lined up for the chance to participate — a reflection of the community Garage has built over the years.

Captured by photographer Stephen Simms at a stunning local residence, the afternoon unfolded like a Slim Aarons summer scene reimagined for Scottsdale: golden light, kids in impeccably styled looks running between the pool, oversized floats, and a lemonade stand, every detail feeling both elevated and completely carefree.
But Garage has never been just a children’s boutique. It’s a concept store rooted in creativity, connection, and play — blending fashion, luxury pieces, toys, accessories, events, and philanthropy into one thoughtfully curated experience. Katie also proudly supports a number of Arizona nonprofits, including serving as Fashion Show Stylist for PANDA (People Acting Now Discover Answers).

The kind of place where fashion feels fun, families feel connected, and childhood feels a little more magical. Equal parts style, imagination, and play — exactly what Garage was built to be. ✨

CAMELBACK FLOWERSHOP | “The Arrival Is Part of the Experience” 🌼

Phoenix has a way of making the beautiful feel effortless. But behind every stunning entryway, every hotel lobby that stops you in your tracks, every home that feels alive with something in bloom — there is intention, craft, and a white van you will come to recognize.

isn’t just a florist. Owner Teresa Wilson has built something closer to a floral design and installation studio, one where the service doesn’t end at the doorstep. When the team arrives — calm, skilled, unhurried — they tend to what they bring. They arrange, they install, they care for it. Whether it’s a residential delivery or the grand rose installation that greets guests at the iconic , the arrival is part of the experience.

Photographer Stephen Simms captured exactly that. Teresa on the left, grounded and warm in her shop surrounded by blooms, botanicals, and carefully curated objects. On the right, her team outside a residence — white van, fresh flowers, straw hats, aprons — doing what they do with the quiet ease of people who take their craft seriously and make it look natural.

Same-day delivery. Floral design. Full installation. And the kind of follow-through that keeps things beautiful long after the van pulls away.
Flowers, plants, and objects — delivered with intention.

TARBELL’S | “Farm-to-Table Before Farm-to-Table Was a Thing” 🥬

Arizona has always had people who were ahead of their time — the ones doing the work quietly, long before the rest of the world catches up and calls it a trend.

Mark Tarbell is one of those people. Restaurateur, wine expert, chef, and one of the most magnetic personalities in the Valley, Mark has been sourcing fresh, local, organic produce and building a kitchen around pure, honest cuisine since 1994 — ingredient-driven and seed oil-free long before the industry caught up to the way he had always believed food should be prepared.

When it came time to photograph Tarbell’s for TSG Phoenix & Scottsdale, the creative needed to capture the full spirit of the restaurant — both the playful personality that made it iconic and the serious culinary craftsmanship that has kept it respected for decades.
Shot by photographer Stephen Simms, the left side features Mark flat on his back in a recreated cabbage field — straw hat, sunglasses, grin intact — a playful and literal interpretation of farm-to-table from a man too busy living it to spend much time talking about it.

On the right, celebrated Valley chef Adrian de Leon moves through the kitchen with quiet precision: from hand-written menu, to artful plate, to perfectly paired pour, ending at the bar where regulars have been pulling up a stool for more than thirty years.

Because Tarbell’s has always been both: a serious culinary destination and one of the best places in Phoenix to simply belong.

Farm-to-table before it was a thing.
The best place to be a regular since 1994.
