Anyone who has spent any time in the high mountain desert has heard the symphony of sounds that occur there. One of the most iconic instruments in this ensemble is the rising and falling notes of the wind driven mill. From the whirring and creaking of the blades to the trickle of the water falling into the cistern, it plays a primary roll in the overall mood of the score of this desert scene. Sam Nail Ranch, Big Bend National Park.

These two are not playing around. 🐴.🐴.🐴

These two are not playing around. Some of these battles between stallions are pretty brutal. I've seen some walk away with some pretty nasty flesh wounds from biting and kicking. The hooves are sharp as are their teeth and they use both when fighting. - Sand Wash Basin Wild Horses. (2024)

The Storm Chase...

-time to let this one go 😭.... this is the second to last image from chase season 2024 😎🌩📷🚗. It was June 30th in eastern Colorado. Looking back it was a great season. 🙏😍🥰 Had some great lightning ⚡️ storms and of course a few great, non-destructive tornadoes 🌪.
