2025 has been a year full of challenges. Early in the year, we needed to repair equipment at our tower site, which cost more than we had budgeted for. At the same time, some of our funding sources were negatively impacted by the loss of federal funding.

To top it off, a number of our individual sustaining donors have been unable to continue their support—some due to federal job losses, while others were affected by inflation and the rising cost of living.

Then, on December 21, 2025, someone broke into our studio and office space, caused damage, and stole equipment used for media literacy training and content creation. The individuals vandalized and trashed our studio.

As the year comes to a close, we are reaching out to ask for your financial support. Your contribution will help replace the stolen equipment and provide support for the important work we plan to continue in the new year. Any amount you can give will help.

2026 will be a critical election year—both locally here in Arizona and nationally across the United States. Your support will enable KRDP to continue providing a media space where the community can engage with candidates for public office, small business owners, civic leaders, artists, musicians, and many other stakeholders who make the Valley an amazing place to live.

Despite these challenges, since 2022 we have broadcast more than 30,000 hours of local programming, trained 25 local volunteer programmers, hosted 4 live remote events, and promoted more than 30 local businesses and community events.

Please help support our work by donating at givebutter.com/krdpemergency.

Keep the feel real: On radio, Oscar Peterson’s electric piano, rarely recorded, gets us every time. From the “Miles Ahead” LP over the years, with Gil Evans, hear two bonus tracks, no flaws whatsoever, only their cold endings catch us off-guard. Radio Phoenix

About Us

Supported by community underwriters, businesses and people like you, Radio Phoenix delivers unique 24/7 programming that focuses on local news and culture, organizations, music, artists, youth and more.

Who We Are

Radio Phoenix™ is central Arizona’s community radio station. We were launched in 2008 as a program unit and media service of Arizona Community Media Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We use radio, media literacy, social media and community outreach initiatives as tools for building harmonious human relationships among populations within greater Phoenix who are generally not engaged by public radio.
