The lawyers in my office will provide free legal services to anyone impacted by the outrage that is being perpetrated on innocent people in Afghanistan. Tyranny flourishes in an environment of indifference or silent acquiescence. That is what is happening in Afghanistan. Innocent people will be butchered. So many people will flee Afghanistan in fear of persecution based on their gender, ethnicity and religious political and social beliefs. Ireland needs to do our part. On an emmergency basis my office will provide free legal services for anyone who needs assistance in terms of applying for asylum or help, in as far as we can. We can’t simply do and say nothing. I’m not 100% sure how to assist but the resources and legal services of my office will be made available to anyone needing help. Please let relevant people know myself and the lawyers in my office are willing to help, even if it is only in a small way.
