The Book of Gates Project: Stannard Extra

One of the principle characters of the Yidath Cycle universe of games, videos, comics and tales is that of Professor H Philip Stannard of the Courtland Institute, Newham, London. His role is the chief scholar and know all about the villain Oxford Professor Jebidiah Smith and the First Gods, who strive to retake the Earth.

I have him in most areas of the Cycle, and I decided as an extra to give him a part in the Book of Gates Project: The Legacy of Jebidiah Smith as a supplement. So here he is, as an interview with the BBC about the current work in Yidath and archaeology. Brought to life with the power of AI, the 4 minute segment is fairly accurate to the character. My prompts, of course.

I have to stress that if actors had been used, not only would time have been extended but the control quality of the piece would have suffered. AI is a tool, nothing more, and I like to try a little new and something different.

The full documentary is by all means done, and these supplements are the last item to be completed.

Netherworld Trailer : Full Glory

Yes! It's been out for a few weeks but with no marketing until the companion DVD is completed and pressed. Little wonder. The entire epic story is set to be told in these and the coming products we have now being edited. Happy Holidays!

Here is the Full Netherworld game trailer for your enjoyment while we complete this pending task. Now on Itchio in Demo and Full versions. As stated, the game uses different play styles as RPG, visual novel, topdown and point-and-click to tell the story and engage the player. I won't say experimental, but it is a stab at something different than is on the platforms.

Behind the Scenes -The Titan Diorama

Part of the DVD "The Book of Gates Project: The Legacy of Jebidiah Smith" more behind the scenes of the 1869 Oxford Professor Yidath London Exhibit segment using models for the shots.

Here is Andre Mendes in Brazil shooting one of the El-bbo Titans. Next shot is the composed video showing the model in action. Andre created the models based on my design, and it looks fabulous.

DVD Extras Being Completed-BOG Doc

The Book of Gates Project: The Legacy of Jebidiah Smith is 99% done. Now the time comes for the Extras content for the DVD.

Much of the material has been generated on different platforms as video shoots, model building and audio production. There will be behind the scenes for the Yidath First Race models of the dioramas seen in the documentary. There will be interviews using players from the UK for the authentic accent. And much more. Keep tuned in for this very special and packed DVD product.

Here we have a few BTS shots of the diorama models built by the son of a very well known B - Z horror filmmaker who has been around for decades. These were shot with some local kids at my home at the time having some fun with greenscreening and toy monsters. We have the laptop setup with the capture camera hooked up to the set. Lots of fun!

Rushing to complete and release this DVD for marketing support for the Yidath Cycle series of books.

These shots are just tests, not the final product but a gauge to see results.

Unhallowed Ground: Horror From the Old West -Yidath Style!

Our latest offering for the universe of tales set in the Yidath Cycle now comes to Southeastern Arizona. The Kindle here was actually created to afford us an opportunity to suggest a series of demo shorts to a few local Phoenix cowboy production companies for an old Wild West horror anthology. The stories take place in Cochise County famous for Tombstone.

I'd like to start producing a few films to utilize the ePubs we have developed for this very purpose, and a few plans are brewing to get a few of our titles to select low budget film companies for options. The time has come. And Jebidiah Smith is rolling to the UK...where he belongs, of course, for release of the new lineups. More on "Unhallowed Ground" later.

The book also has preproduction art included for the film pitch.

Book of Gates Project - Sneak Preview

Preview images of our new documentary, The Book of Gates Project: The Legacy of Jebidiah Smith now in post production, that ties into the Yidath Cycle with an overview of the books and games. series being developed. This is more of a companion DVD that provides a better depth. Soon to be released. You can see the preview trailer in the previous post.

This will also have a Special Edition DVD with Extras! How nice.

On the other note, the Carson Hotel: The Escape DEMO is going on in coding and edits. This is our first Steam game, and we have alot rising on the games wide distribution. Looking ahead, for sure.

Netherworld: The Legend of Justin Smith is out. The CD Rom version already has items delivered from the printers!

Carson Hotel Possible Condemned Models

While the Carson is being produced, some ideas may present themselves with the need for more atmosphere. I refer to these as the 'Tortured Ones', the hotel guests who did not make it out of the hotel. Some interesting concepts here. Sculpture by effects wizard John Hankins in clay for concept.

Some additions to the Carson story will be forthcoming. Carson Hotel: The Escape is currently also still moving in production.

Everard Smith: The Summoner!

Here at last, the final book in the Yidath Cycle before we move on to the next lineup. Everard Smith: The Summoner is the last collection of six tales, illustrated, that deal with the legacy of our astonishing villain, the Oxford Professor Jebidiah Smith and the Smith family as a whole. I envisioned this last book to develop a Dark Shadows like series, and I may look at bringing it up a notch.

The Yidath Cycle series, now revamped and reedited with new comics, upgrades, and more, will undergo a serious marketing push.

Everard Smith: The Summoner will be released within days.

Netherworld: The Legend of Justin Smith package is now complete, and will be released within the week on two gaming sites. Not as good as Steam, but enough to gauge the waters with these book and game tie-ins. The CD Rom Special Edition version production has begun for Amazon exclusive distribution.

The Carson Hotel: The Escape will commence work next week for Steam and DEMO version completion. There is bigger market and distribution with the latter.

Trio of Terror!

Pending our release of Netherworld: The Legend of Justin Smith, which will be coming shortly, and the completion of the Carson Hotel: The Escape, we have our sighted games coming right after. Here they are.

These will be Play Novels, each within the Yidath Cycle and be fashioned from the same source code in Clickteam Fusion 2 so they can be released quickly. All assets are done, with the exception of a distinct frames and sound assets.

Looking forwards to these. These will conclude our slated Yidath Cycle games for the foreseeable future, along with Netherworld: The Rift still on the slate. Also offering into checking for IOS and Android. Also, these will be Special Edition releases, limited 100 units for CD Rom.
