Jebidiah Smith and Vr'ugg Action Figure!

The ultimate goal of the Netherworld project is not only a small franchise of merchandise but also some very custom action figures! What comic company and movie studio does not have them? So why not me?

Well, while we finalize the new 'The Book of Gates Project: Tilbost House ' trailer, a found footage movie concept based on the Yidath Cycle and being edited by our trailer genius, and prep to release 'The Book of Gates Project: The Legacy of Jebidiah Smith' clips for marketing and distribution purposes, some items arise.

Several associates in low budget filmmaking and even Hollywood have had the problems of intellectual property being licensed by producers or studios and then basically, for a small fee to the creator, cashing in on everything from toys, books and videos thereby giving the same creator nothing. Wow. It happened to several filmmakers and writers so we hope to not let it happen here.

So it's almost entertainment lawyer time.

On a lighter note, a concept of the Jeb toy has been made, as seen here, along with his Vr'ugg guide. Also behind them is the new Tilbost House design. Looking good!

The Abingdon-on-Thames Files: The Yidath Cycle

Yes, a targeted book meant for the seat of the 19th Century Oxford Professor Jebidiah Smith and his notorious Tilbost House. Trailers complete and ready for dropping online on the YouTube channel.

The town of Abingdon-on-Thames, the oldest town in England, will never be the same again.

The book will feature citizens of Abingdon through the years who have come across the terrors of the Tilbost House and the denizens of Yidath who cross over to Abingdon from the past. The Oxford Professor Jebidiah Smith's presence still overshadows the peaceful countryside, indeed.

Jebidiah Documentary Watermark Time

Edited and ready with extras, the Book of Gates Project DVD is reaching done. Now the hardest part of any video project has come to fruition for any filmmaker - distribution! You will hear many say that making any film is easy, but distributing the film is harder. Especially on an indie level.

The Book of Gates Project: The Legacy of Jebidiah Smith is more a niche product, intended more to market the Yidath Cycle products than be a stand alone 'movie'. But it works in a method.

Here we have the point editor setting up a demo for the screener copy, which is sent to select distributors for review. The video will be watermarked to ensure the screener cannot be used. It's the wild west out there, for sure.

The Book of Gates Project: The Legacy of Jebidiah Smith near completion!

Very pleased to announce that the documentary on the Yidath Cycle is now 99.9% complete with the new segment additions and upgrades. Several extras for the DVD. Currently looking at DVD distribution and streaming options. More to come!

VEIL-A Hybrid Grapic Novel is Released!

Finally, our pre-Bunker experiment, Veil, is now out on Amazon.

Plans for marketing, as well as graphic novel agent representation, is being looked at so we can get these titles moving.

The Book of Gates Project - The Legacy of Jebidiah Smith is getting the final addons to the documentary and should be completed soon for DVD authoring. The added segments tie The Forbidden into the video, not topping 60 minutes in run time.

VEIL - Paperback Edition Proof

Wow. Here is is. VEIL: A Hybrid Graphic Novel was delivered to day from Amazon for proofing. I must say it looks pretty nice. I'll have to go over it for a week to ensure there are no issues before release printing. The PROOF copy always has a 'not for resale' tag on it before publication.

The ePub Kindle is also done as a related edition, with new images and a flowable text format. Loaded and ready for release with the print paperback edition. I considered a fixed layout version as well, but it would not work out due to the layout. I'll look at that further with expert help, but it's unlikely.

The paperback is 8.5" x 11" for the comic panels and full page illustrations, with text whole page sections taking up more room. I am pleased that with the grayscale illustrations it turned out better than expected. Color was desired, the pre press was a process for one without experience a harrowing issue. And the higher production costs. So we'll play it out.

VEIL also presets The Bunker Hybrid Graphic Novel,, that was an experiment to see if such a hybrid format would work out. I think it has worked out. So The Bunker is back on slate.

Our trailer man is editing the VEIL trailer as I write, and I am hoping the VEIL package will be out within the week.

VEIL: A Hybrid Graphic Novel - Done!

Our newest publication project, VEIL, is now about to be dropped to Amazon for publication. This is an exciting development as the project will have three different publishing formats for different readers.

Our first 8.5" x 11" graphic novel paperback publication, stocked with comics, illustrations and text. The second, a Kindle fixed format version is a print replica of the graphic novel, keeping the same comics and art structure. The third, a Kindle ePub, will be a reduced version of the previous, with the illustrations and no comic sections due to format restrictions.

More to come. It will be delivered to Amazon for all three next week. Trailer now being composed.

The Seeds of Yugggosa - A Graphic Audio Preview

I've been working with the ideas of a preview for some of the stories in the Yidath Cycle, some tests I did have them turned out pretty well. This one is called The Seeds of Yugggosa. I love the idea of a modern hook and older relics, so the video offers a little up on the topic.

I'd love to see this as part of an television anthology. Thinking about getting that agent for production submissions.
