Short Read Mayhem - Reverend Hamden

Our next produced Short Read title, "The Strange Fate of Reverend Hamden" coming to Amazon as part of our short story lineup. The series will have it's own Series Page on Amazon, called the Yidath Cycle series (of shorts).

Jebidiah Smith and Vr'ugg Action Statue - Concept

Lots going on here...final loadup on all platforms for the new lineup of products. Trailers galore. New retooling of the books, new covers and added content. Netherworld on pin edits. Hopefully finish up in a week or two alongside the uploads. Looking forwards.

Here's a concept that was being tossed back and forth - either action figures (posable) or action statues (non-posable). I actually had some ideas for the remaining characters but Jebidiah Smith and the Vr'ugg would be the first character realized.

Something to throw out while we get all this ready. I'm really thinking of doing this first character perhaps with 3d printing.

Kind of reminded me of Wilber Whateley from the Dunwich Horror, the half human wizard, although Jebidiah is not combined with the First Gods, in a way.

Upload Has Begun! Netherworld!

Just a quick note to say all materials are being uploaded to their respected sites and will continue over the next week. We'll have quite a lineup of releases and promotional material to gawk at while the commercial games are being produced.

Here we have Netherworld's DEMO being readied for it's placer page on Itchio. What a nice sight. I guess good things take time.

Also, the new Forbidden trailer and Amulet trailer will be released in this coming upload, specially made by our talented trailer man in Eastern Europe. The internet is wonderful! You wont be let down. I was amazed by the work myself.

The Forbidden - Rises Again!

Yes, The Forbidden. Coming on the heels of the Carson Hotel. As mentioned before, after first conceiving the concept that has grown into the Yidath Cycle (with which the new additions coming this week, now completed and ready for submission to all ePub sites and Amazon) over these years will now be heavily marketed. We also have the three comics going Kindle wise, 9 new ePubs, and the Demo for Netherworld. And more now to come.

You'll see our Newgrounds games migrated to Itchio and Gamejolt. They served their purpose there, testing the casual game players to see input and results. We'll still maintain a presence there, but the moves will bring many more players and readers to the Amazon sites. The Bourne Journal site has been visited many times, and the new Youtube channel, filled with 34 trailers and supplements, will advance the new Archeon media site.

Since the coding will go slow for the three remaining games - The Amulet, The Forbidden and Notoria, Cesar will be coding the Play Novel source game which will be used for reskinning the engine game source to make it go much faster. Once the first source is done, I reset all assets myself, which will be must quicker in turn around time. And exported to IOS, Android and PC.

I am looking forward to The Forbidden. New technology, new scripts and new formats. Here we have the new cover, the new trailer will be going up shortly. Looks like we are coming to an end.

Amazon Short Reads- Great Promo Tool

On top of the trailers that have been produced for the games, a series has also been produced for the books as well. As of late, we are about a mere week away from dropping all materials with the exception of the FULL Netherworld game, which is undergoing more testing. During the intermediate time we had with the game promos, the book trailers were conceived. These are vital tools as you have to have something to stand out. I'm betting that this will be a profitable asset.

Four read, dramatized trailers were made from four The "Gospels of Izal" tales with sound effects and short story summary, with dramatic voices reading lines. They should give an insight on the series, and even more important, let people 'share' the videos like the games on Newgrounds are doing, as players are recording gameplay and sharing.

Amazon, in their wisdom, also allows short stories, called Short Reads, to be posted on the marketplace as well as full books. This allowed me to produce, with art, five selections - four more from the 'Gospels of Izal's' Yidath stories, and one from the anthology 'The Fossil and Others', the tale named "In Our Image". I'm interested to see how this will affect marketing but we'll give it a shot.

New cover for "The Forbidden" done, and the play novel code set up for this and the two other games, "The Amulet" and "Notoria", will begin after we finish this.

The Fossil and Echoes of Genesis - Production and Testing

Indeed, the releases mount with as many trailers for the new company YouTube channel - to add the latest offerings to the coming lineup on the horizon.

The Fossil and Others - a science fiction anthology of short, short fiction, with a few special pieces written several years ago for the major remaining print science fiction magazines and rejected by the editors, are front and center. With the fierce competition for space in such magazines, even among professional, well known writers, it does compute. But the volume has much to offer. The short, short stories are modeled after the infamous Fredric Brown, who perfected the lightning format.

Echoes of Genesis - a theme similar to 2001 - A Space Odyssey which takes place in the Trojan Asteroids near Jupiter, with an unforeseen twist, is the second release. We always endeavor to do something different in any event, and with the fully illustrated collection, the ePub should provide an interesting read.

All else on track. It will likely take a few days to load all the new products up on line, plus the updated Archeon Media website, Itch and Gamejolt game pages. The home pages are already up. As we move to upload a few items are added here are there, to help with the distribution and sales of the products.

The comics it has been decided will be loaded up to Amazon as Kindle products, with the CBZ versions as bonuses for the ePubs as the Book of Gates -the Carson Papers, and the Netherworld novella.

Finally, new video book trailers, for the Mask and Trail of Yidath anthologies, have included segments of selected stories of these books to help with the sales effort. 'Colville', "Red Worms', "Tigt-Ygolig", and "The Seeds of Yugggosa' have been adapted and should make a good show.

Netherworld Testing - Game Complete!

What a real nerve racker! But finally we see light at the end of the tunnel. This most elusive game has finally come to an end - and I have to thank my associates for staying on course so we can finally put Netherworld out to roost on the game playing field.

Here we have the test frames for Netherworld going through game play testing, looking for bugs and issues that may ruin the game for players for pin edits. My experience with Newgrounds and the free games posted there has shown that some folks like to complain even if the game is good. Well, you can't please everyone. Just enjoy the ride.

All our trailer videos, games and books will be out soon at the same time for an avalanche of product to be put out to market. The new YouTube channel, new Archeon Media website, Itch-io and Gamejolt, among others, will be loaded with the new product lines. With more to come very shortly.

Completing this pending game opens up the completion on the other games we have being formatting now - games we've been talking about for many months.

Netherworld DEMO and FULL Version!

Whew! What a hair puller! Coming up around the horizon is finally Netherworld: the Legend of Justin Smith! Complete with Demo version and Full version! Finally this elusive game is on the edge of the cliff near ready to fall over on Itch-io and in cadence, Game jolt. Can we do it? Yes, we are finally ready to release, market hard, and move right to the Carson Hotel.

The Carson Hotel will be designed specifically for Steam.

Netherworld has been an experience in game making, but so has the free Book of Gates series and other games on Newgrounds, which has garnered plays and brought people to our sites as expected. Netherworld has also demonstrated on how not to piece together a two hundred frame game, which grew from just twenty frames in the beginning of the project. Now, our game making will go much quicker with one coder, one direction and one completion editor.

The extras on the game are indeed generous.

Trailer Cuts!

Yes, final trailers cutting for the YouTube drop coming shortly. These are the newer trailers for the Carson Hotel, the stop motion animation BTS of BOG and Netherworld titles, and the Comic Engine developed for Netherworld and beyond.

Sneek preview of the Carson being produced. We'll have quite a number of trailers coming very shortly.

The Netherworld package is near done for release. Our first release years and mistakes in the making. Done!

Notoria Preview

Coming right up and looking forwards to this new styled project, it is hard not to reveal too much when previewing. Well underway, Notoria fits into the BOG universe but happens away from the usual Yidath haunts. It is designed like an Dungeon RPG and will feature some similar GUI interfaces.

The Carson Hotel is near ready for coding after prep, and it should be turned over by the end of the month.

Netherworld (yes, the shadow game) has been framed by framed line edited so we can get it out. The DEMO is done, the main 200 + frame game is targeted for end of week early next week after full testing. We had issues with the coding on this that had to be redone and reworked so the game would work right. It was pieced together from expanding parts which complicated the issue!

A few more surprises but that will come shortly. Cant say much more, here are some inferior Notoria previews.

Comic Extras! Netherworld and The Carson Hotel!

Good day. Exciting news from the press! Ready to drop some 20 trailers plus supplements, the new Archeon Media website, and Netherworld!

Netherworld is on the last bit of edits for final completion. At last! I want to move on from this elusive game and now we are at the doorway. Lots more waiting, like Notoria!

The Carson Hotel is ready for coding! DEMO level, and it's a step up from the flash games on the Newgrounds portal. More previews, videos and news to come.

Here we have the completed (yes, completed!) comic extras that go with Netherworld and The Carson Hotel, with more included, such as a trading card, and other neat stuff. The Carson Cases and The Carson Hotel go with the Carson game, and Tilbost House, along with the standard PDF Gospels of Izal comic, goes with Netherworld. Each also includes the new epubs, which will be released the same time as the games.
