I don’t think I’ve written a poem since high school but this one hit me a few days ago. And I don’t really know how to “perform” poetry so sorry if it sucks.
For the record, I am still hopeful especially after conversations with my drs today about switching me to a medicine called Rituxan.
I wasn’t actually going to post this. But I realized these are real feelings that many of us go through and I wanted to show that I go through them too. You are not alone.
It is ok to feel down and out. It is ok to feel like it’s too much. It’s ok to feel like you want to quit. It’s ok to be “negative”. I literally laugh at people when I hear they call me “negative” all the time. I think I would love for you to go through what I’ve gone through for 17 years starting with a blood clot at 18 years old and see how you feel then. Bitch please! (As we millennials like to say) 😂
The important thing is that you don’t quit. You do what you got to do to keep going. Anyone who knows me really well knows I love the cartoon Bluey. And as mama chilly says when things get tough I have a little cry, then I pick myself up, dust myself off, and keep going! The show must go on!!
Get your cry on, let it out any way you need to, in this instance it was a poem for me, talk to your doctors about how you’re feeling, cry in front of them too it’s ok, and find a new direction together.
You can do this. Much love 💕
