I’m immensely grateful for such a wonderful team of craftsmen who continually put their heart into telling stories so very well. We were honored with 2 Telly Awards this year for the video I previously posted telling the encouraging story of Jolee Baddeley’s transformation from being held captive by anxiety about what people thought of her, into joyful freedom by making God her audience of one. The video was commissioned by Scottsdale Christian Academy and showcases their excellent ministry of equipping kids with top-notch education infused with a biblical reverence for God. It’s truly the best Christian school I know of in Arizona, and I am so grateful to have attended there in high school myself. I was strengthened in so many vital ways to grow in my faith and professionally by that school, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. I give all the glory to God for multiplying our humble efforts and using them for His great purposes. We are just the messengers; God is the Creator of all good things (John 10:10)!

I have some fun news to share. The video my team made for Scottsdale Christian Academy’s fundraising gala this year won 2 Telly Awards today!! Bronze in the “Educational Institution” category, and Silver in the “Non-Broadcast - Religion & Spirituality” category. (Links to both award pages are in the comments.)

I knew the story we recorded was exceptional from day 1, and I entered the video into this year’s Telly’s since I thought the video had a real chance of competing. It certainly did! This year, there were over 13,000 entries across all categories, and so it’s notable how our work stood out among so many other top marketing videos.

These awards are great resume pieces for my team, which honor their expertise as some of the best craftsmen in the world today. But more importantly, my hope is that this video will have a long life where it continues to encourage many people about the importance of finding their identity and self-worth in what God says about them, rather than what people think. I hope this publicity may help spread that positive message further.

I hope you are blessed by this encouraging story as much as we were!
