MY LATEST THOUGHTS - Two things that have always been true, weaker tropical storms suck to track and it’s okay to say I don’t know as a meteorologist. Tonight, I really don’t know how this is going to go.

Arthur is being ripped to pieces off our coast but that was to be expected. We knew the wind shear was going to not allow this storm to ever look anything like a real tropical storm. It doesn’t. That isn’t the end of Arthur though.

Tonight as the circulation or whatever is left of it comes over eastern LA/South MS - there should be a large eruption of new storms. These have the potential for tornadoes and if they can group together, there could be a large scale flood risk. To what extent is the big question? Do five neighborhoods flood or 50 miles of neighborhoods? I can’t answer that and nobody else can either. Back to point #1 made above, weaker storms suck.

For most of you tonight, you will sleep like a baby. You will wake up in the morning and Thursday will be a normal day. For a few others, that won’t be the case. I’m hoping those few others is a very small number when this is all said and done.

I was supposed to be off today instead I’ll be at the station all night long watching this unfold. Back to point #1, weaker storms suck. As for point #2, it’s okay to say I don’t know as a meteorologist and that’s sort of what I’m doing here.
