🏍️✨ “Round Two” at the AMA Hall of Fame – Honoring Mary McGee ✨🏍️

What an incredible night at the AMA Hall of Fame during Hall of Fame Induction Week and Bike Night, our second time presenting together as part of the Ride4Mary movement.

It was a true honor to stand alongside my dear friends and co-organizers Amanda Knapp and Maggie McNally, sharing the story of Ride4Mary and celebrating the legacy of our mentor and friend, Mary McGee, a woman whose fearless spirit continues to inspire riders around the world.

This evening was filled with reflection and reverence, knowing that just one year ago this very weekend, Mary McGee herself was in this same room, joyfully signing those Motorcycle Mary posters. Hearing stories from the younger generation who met Mary for the first time last year deeply touched our hearts. They spoke of how profoundly moved and inspired they were to meet such a legend, and how Mary made them feel truly seen and valued.

We were also proud to host the second screening of the award-winning short film Motorcycle Mary, celebrating Mary’s incredible journey and introducing her story to a new generation of riders.

A heartfelt thank you to Paula, the AMA Hall of Fame Director, for her generosity and for gifting us a personally signed “Motorcycle Mary” poster from Mary herself — a keepsake we will forever treasure.

We also want to extend sincere thanks to Julie Adams (a.k.a. Big Red), Chris , and her husband Steve, and the entire AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame staff, along with every participant and attendee who made the evening so special. Your kindness, support, and stories made this “Round Two” presentation one to remember.

To everyone who joined us, thank you for honoring Mary’s memory and helping ensure her legacy continues to inspire and connect riders everywhere.

🌍🏍️ WRWR TT 2026 Legacy Lap — Riding for Mary McGee 🇺🇸

Ride4Mary Team members, including Ruth Belcher and Amanda Knapp, will proudly represent U.S. riders along with other women from across the United States, joining riders from around the world in the Women Riders World Relay (WRWR) TT 2026 Legacy Lap — a tribute ride around the iconic 37.73-mile Isle of Man TT Course.

Led by WRWR Founder Hayley Bell and the WRWR Ambassadors, this event celebrates women in motorcycling, past, present, and future.

The team will ride in memory of Mary McGee, a true trailblazer whose courage and love for motorcycling continue to inspire riders everywhere.

I want to share a post written by Lisa Brain, Isle of Man, WRWR Ambassador:
"WRWR TT 2026 Legacy Lap – for Every Woman Who Rides
We’ve had a few lovely questions about whether the WRWR Legacy Lap is suitable for all riders — and the answer is absolutely YES!
The Legacy Lap is a speed-controlled ride around the full 37.73-mile TT Mountain Course, starting and finishing at the TT Grandstand. It’s designed for riders of all experience levels — whether you’re new to riding or have decades on the road.
The lap begins with the powerful “Sound of Thunder” — a one-minute tribute that brings riders and spectators together in remembrance and celebration.
The pace is steady, allowing everyone to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the view — and when we reach the Mountain section, it’ll be one-way only, giving a chance to open up a little while still under full control.
The WRWR-led Legacy Lap is about connection, empowerment, and unity. It’s a celebration of women in motorcycling, of history, and of shared love for the road.
Whether you ride in tribute, remembrance, or celebration, this is your lap — a moment to be part of history."

Ride4Mary at the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame.

It was an absolute pleasure to meet the fantastic team at the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame during my Ride4Mary coast-to-coast tribute. I, along with the entire Ride4Mary team, am deeply grateful for the warm welcome and support I received from the staff.

Walking through the museum, I was reminded of how powerful our shared history is in keeping the spirit of motorcycling alive. The exhibits honor the pioneers and legends who paved the way, and it was especially meaningful to reflect on Mary McGee’s place in that history while surrounded by so many inspiring stories.

I also had the privilege of presenting Lacy, the Hall of Fame Manager, with one of Mary’s T-shirts from Women on Wheels. They were delighted to accept this gift and expressed genuine excitement about honoring Mary McGee and continuing to share her incredible legacy with future generations.

I would like to extend a very special thank you to Dale, Lacey, and her family for the extra special treatment—meeting me for coffee, sharing a wonderful dinner, and treating me as if I were part of their own family. Your kindness made this stop deeply personal and unforgettable.

Even more, Dale joined me as I rode out of Sturgis, and it was an absolute joy to get to know him better on the road. We shared quality time, talking openly about life and sobriety. We connected deeply over our shared stories of recovery and how life meets life in the most unexpected ways. It was truly a wonderful experience and a heartfelt connection. Thank you, Dale, from the deepest place in my heart.

The staff’s enthusiasm, hospitality, and dedication made this visit far more than just a stop on my journey—it was a chance to connect Mary’s legacy to the larger story of motorcycling and to honor the trailblazers who inspire us all to keep riding forward.

P.S. An extra special thank you to Dale for adjusting and fixing my engine guard that was out of place.

At every stop along my coast-to-coast ride, I was met with kindness, curiosity, genuine support, and encouragement. Every person I met wanted to know where I was going and what I was doing.

I seized the moment to share Mary’s story, hand out and stickers, and encouraged everyone to Ride4Mary.

This gentleman and his father paid for my fuel that day, they shared how inspired they were, and excited to watch .

I met countless people just like them at every fuel or rest stop.

At a time when our country is so divided by politics, I was so encouraged and blessed to meet kind, thoughtful, and curious people every single day.

Our group rode motorcycles all day in South Africa, then screened the movie "Motorcycle Mary." We are all inspired by Mary's quote of "Say YES." This group of women said YES to riding motorcycles from Capt Town to Johannesburg, South Africa!

How are they riding?
I am riding solo in Mary’s memory and honor her by sharing her legacy with everyone I meet that share the same 2wheel love of riding.

How did Mary McGee inspire them?
Mary is an inspiration to all women riders, but for me it was her sheer determination to do something she loved and the courage to do it - even if it meant going against the majority. Her strength to stand up in male dominated sport is unmatched in her counterparts during the 60s; with her endurance and persistence she was able to achieve her dreams and goals in riding. Which in all of that, is something I understand and connected with in my own life by becoming a US Marine in 1985. While still in high school I signed up to ship out after graduation. Something not many women even thought of doing, the statistics estimated 1 woman to 10,000+ men in US Marines. In doing so, I unknowingly dealt with same hardships and opposition Mary endured in a field of male racers, was similar to women serving in male dominant military 40yrs ago. I’m proud to say with all my strength, endurance and persistence that I accomplished my dreams and goals serving 20yrs to retired in the US Marines. It gives me the same perspective and connection to what Mary had endured. Mary McGee inspires me and so many other women riders across the world for whaf she has accomplished for herself riding and all women riders. Proud to call her a friend. I ride this week in her honor 🫶 miss seeing your posts Mary on all your adventures you were doing.

Planning and taking rides in honor of Mary. Sharing with friends and family. Encouraging other women to find their ride!

How did Mary McGee inspire them?
I love the breath and stay calm and twist the throttle! So often when I'm riding there are a million thoughts going through my mind. I try to start my rides with a deep breath and letting the outdoor sight, sounds sink into my mind, and just enjoy!
