Today we followed a little rabbit trail through the eastern U.P. and ended up at one of the better viewpoints we've seen in a while.

Tucked away in the UP woods are the remains of an old Civilian Conservation Corps camp dating back to the Great Depression. We spent some time exploring the foundations, forgotten structures, and history hidden among the trees. Have you ever visited a CCC camp?

Spent some time exploring the remains of an old Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) camp hidden in the U.P. woods.

Most of the buildings are long gone, but pieces of the camp are still scattered throughout the forest. Old foundations, remnants of structures, and even a few random stoops and stairways that now lead absolutely nowhere.

It's kind of strange walking through the trees and imagining what this place must have looked like when it was full of activity decades ago.

Just stopped out to check out the new walkway to the viewing platform at Upper Tahquamenon Falls… and I gotta say, it’s actually really cool.

I do miss the old stairs a little bit, but I think that’s mostly nostalgia talking lol.

Either way, the falls never disappoint, and the new walkway gives you some awesome views on the way down.
