💰 THIS is why I love the DG P&G Deal! 💰
I did TWO separate P&G transactions at Dollar General today using two different accounts — mine and my husband’s — and I wanted to show you exactly how I used the deal to save money on things we were actually going to buy anyway! 🛒❤️
For my first P&G transaction, I grabbed:
🧴 Old Spice Body Wash
🪥 3 Oral-B Toothbrushes
🦷 Crest 3D White Brilliance
🧼 Dawn Powerwash
I also substituted the toothbrushes in my second transaction with two of the $3 Crest toothpastes that were attaching to the qualifying manufacturer coupon. PLEASE scan your items before checkout so you can verify that your coupons are attaching!
I my $5 off $2 also
My manufacturer coupons which included:
💵 $2 off Dawn Powerwash
💵 $4 off Crest 3D White Brilliance
💵 $5 off 3 Oral-B toothbrushes
💵 $2 off Old Spice
That brought my total to $14 BEFORE TAX! 🙌
And here's the important part:
🎉 I EARNED THE $10 P&G DISCOUNT!
When you look at your receipt, you'll see that little $0.01 discount line indicating that you earned the $10 for your next transaction. Sometimes it shows immediately in your account, and sometimes it can take a little bit.
I did the same thing again using my husband's account because the P&G offer is one-time per account. You cannot do this twice on the same account.
🥤 And here's where I made it work FOR ME!
I needed drinks, so I used my $10 P&G discount on 6 cases of Dr Pepper.
They were 3 for $15, so six cases were $30.
➡️ $30 - $10 P&G discount = $20
Then after earning my second $10 P&G discount, I used THAT on something else we actually needed — batteries for our garage door openers — and paid only around $2 after tax!
That's what I mean when I say couponing can help with the things you actually NEED. ❤️
I'm not buying random stuff just to say I got a deal. I'm taking the discounts I'm earning and turning them into drinks, batteries, household necessities, etc.
⚠️ A FEW IMPORTANT THINGS:
❌ You cannot use the $10 P&G discount after EARNING IT with a $5 off $25.
❌ You cannot use the P&G store coupon and other DG store coupons together.
✅ You CAN use qualifying manufacturer coupons with the P&G deal.
✅ You CAN use the $5 off $25 with the P&G deal to help lower your out-of-pocket.
✅️AFTER YOU EARNED THE $10 P&G DISCOUNT YOU CAN use the discount with Store coupons to save even more which is another reason so many love this deal.
✅ The P&G offer is ONE TIME PER ACCOUNT, so I used two different accounts to do mine twice.
And remember, prices and tax can vary by location, so your total may be a little different. My $14 total was before tax, and I paid around $16 after tax.
This is just another example of how I use couponing to make my regular spending stretch a little further. ❤️
