This spring I hatched out barnyard mix chicks with our Ayam Cemani rooster. It turned out that I ended up with exactly five hens and one rooster which has become our “backyard flock.”

I can’t help but love how they’ve turned out. The fully black hens are noticeably larger than our pure Ayam Cemani hens, and the Easter eggers are the gorgeous gray with puffy cheeks 🖤

I’m not going to lie, my inner Pinterest lady has absolutely no idea how to decorate. It only took two hours at dollar tree staring at fall decor to come up with this little display.

But with the leaves falling and all the colors changing we needed to bring some autumn vibes into the house 🍁

Thank you all for the prayers, positive vibes and hope!!

Our sweet Benny Bobo has been found! This afternoon my husband came home on lunch to assist with finding him, lo and behold he was holed up behind our outdoor brooder.

Now he’s back in his home, safe, and a little tired but he got lots of kisses and love on his return 🐰❤️

We’re heartbroken 💔

Somehow “Benny Bobo”s cage was left open and he went missing last night.

I’ve searched high and low shaking his food dish and calling for him. Typically when he hears his food dish he would come running, however we had no such luck today.

If you have any good vibes or prayers to send our way in hopes we find him safe, please do so! Our kids aren’t aware of the bad news yet 😣

Our little Beavis was spoiled rotten today when we got to be part of an awesome birthday surprise for a very sweet girl who looooovesss Highland cows! 🥰🎂

To say I’m obsessed with my boots is probably an understatement. Notice the indentations and scuffs, I can’t tell you how many times a cow, sheep or goat has stepped on my foot - and although they aren’t steel toe - they’re sturdy enough to cushion from the weight of the animal. Plus they’re water resistant, so filling troughs or changing pond water, my foot stays completely dry.

They also fit like a glove, my foot basically pops into place inside the boot. I’ve yet to find a more comfortable boot, let alone shoe. If you’re in the market for an awesome boot, checkout Ariat and their Womens Unbridled Roper boot👢🤎
