Here's a clip from a film I made about 20 years ago up in Dalvik and saved it from digital rot. It's about classic old Icelandic horsemen and horses and would itself have been a classic if the Icelandic horse world cared about preserving its history and tradition.

I generated this AI cake to celebrate that on the fifth anniversary of my lung cancer surgery I got the news that I am clear of any tumors. Thus, syringes rather than candles.

I am publishing this because being cancer-free has its obligations as well as its rewards.

I feel obliged to tell people who are smokers that two rounds of chemotherapy and a lobectomy are ravaging and there is no guarantee that they may not emerge as fortunate as I.

I feel obligated to the field of medicine and the people who practice it making it possible for me to survive these past five years; I feel compelled to publicly express my gratitude now after the infodemic of COVID when fearful people have succumbed to the primitive defenses of flight/flight by demonizing science and scientists.

A storm is raging on the Sun so we may see some Northern Lights tonight and through the weekend if it's not too cloudy. This article has some good tips on how to see them!
