It is with heavy hearts that we must share the news we will be pausing production of Sand & Pine Magazine and Pinehurst Living Magazine.

We started Sand & Pine Magazine in 2014 with the desire to bring a unique and engaging voice to our wonderful community. In 2015, we were offered the opportunity to purchase Pinehurst Magazine, the oldest continuous magazine in the area. Since then, we have produced 100 issues in total celebrating the people and places of the Sandhills.

Producing both of the magazines over the years has brought us much joy. We’ve met a countless number of eclectic, kind and inspiring people that we’ve had the honor of highlighting in our publications, and developing each story has allowed our appreciation of the area to grow more than we could have ever imagined.

We could not have produced these labors of love each month without the exceptional effort of all those that worked alongside us. To our writers, designers, photographers, sales reps, editors, advertisers, readers, and all those we fail to mention, we will be eternally grateful.

The time has come, however, for us to concentrate our efforts on other business ventures. We have discussed keeping both publications alive in some format online, through special printings and with new owners but nothing has been finalized as of this message. We’re going to take some time to think about how best to continue both brands.

In the meantime, we hope you’ll visit us at our shop, Purple Thistle Kitchen & Co., in the Village of Pinehurst, and seek us out if you’re in need of property management services at our real estate firm Southbound Properties. Someone said, “Whatever good things we build end up building us.” Truer words …. Thank you for all the memories!

Best,

Greg & Amanda

For Sale: Pinehurst Living Magazine and Sand & Pine Magazine

After several months of discussion and soul searching, we’ve decided to sell Pinehurst Living Magazine and Sand & Pine Magazine. Over the past couple of years we’ve been adding other projects and businesses to our schedule and it has us moving in a different direction. Our passion to celebrate this community has us seeking new owners that will continue to bring stories that both entertain and enlighten.

If interested in purchasing either magazine or both, please contact Greg Girard at [email protected] or [email protected] for more details.

Baby, it’s cold outside! There is some winter weather coming this weekend so please stay tuned for wedding show updates!

Major delays at the printer due to Covid so magazines will not hit the stands until early next week. It seems that 2022 is business as usual. Thank you all for your patience!

In the meantime, check out the online version!
