As we get closer to summer vacation, a handful of kids in Pinewood now have new bicycles donated by a local group.

The Silver Lodge Number 35 represents the Pinewood area in Sumter County as part of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of the State of South Carolina. They perform good deeds in the area. City Council passed resolutions agreeing to help SCDOT with four projects in the City of Sumter, South Carolina. The resolutions discussed four scheduled upgrades:
1. Broad Street at Lording Mill Road intersection improvements
2. Broad Street at North St. Paul Churchs Road intersection improvements
3. Manning Avenue bridge replacement
4. Miller road over Shot Pouch bridge replacement
