YAS Work is a non-profit that is dedicated to to educating people about SW's, the nuances of their lives and why they deserve rights and respect.

We do this through art, consulting, panel discussions, and media, including a podcast.

SW Led Panels: We are gearing up to coordinate online and in person panels for the last part of 2025. As of now, we are working with to bring you a panel about cosplaying SW’s, including talking about SW’s rights.

We are also coordinating with another org to bring you online panels. All of this is a work in progress. Stay tuned or get involved.

Another program by YAS Work - YAS Veterans:  A consulting network of s*x worker professionals sharing their skills in art, media, education, law, and more.

We made YASVeterans.com for expert SW’s to list themselves as a consultant.  There is no fee to be listed, it’s just meant to be a resource for people who need SW consulting, either about the work or about how to properly work with SW’s in professional settings.

Honestly, whoever you want to consult for and about isn’t our business. The only requirement is that you are a SW who wants to do consulting.  (No non-SW’s).

Our collective work matters, and so does rest. It feels like a long, hard road, one with few wins, and sometimes giving up feels like an option. But then it doesn’t in the very next moment.

This is for all of us, when we are having a hard day and trying to find the motivation to push forward.

I am part of a long legacy of people who dared to speak truth, even when it cost them everything. Doubt does not mean I’ve failed—it means I care deeply. This work is not always visible, not always validated, but it ripples beyond what I can see. I honor my exhaustion without shame. I rest without quitting. I return when I’m ready. The struggle is real and long, but I am not alone.

#139: Horses Cry Too with Scarlett Pereira and Elizabeth Splaine (streaming now on all platforms)

Scarlett talks about her first encounter with a client as SW and was shocked at how it wasn’t what she thought it was, based on society’s views.

“After my first client, my eyes were kind of opened — society was lying to me. If I can rely on society to lie to me, everyone else is relying on society to lie to them about s*x workers too.”
