I never saw this coming." Times Like These". I belong to a Facebook group (Original songwriters). Last week I saw this man singing, I turned up the volume and his song spoke to my heart and soul and hopes and dreams for our country and the world. I reached out to him,ohh by the way he lives on a remote island near Scotland. I asked him if I could help promote his message as it touched me so much.So here is the final product of our collaboration. His name is Jerry Akehurst my new friend. I would like to thank Glenn Welman for adding drums to his song. And special thanks to our one and only Ken Voltz who agreed to let me use footage he took from the rally in Brevad NC the other week. The song is called "Times Like These" no matter what your position is we all need a bit more humanity in our lives. Listen to this message and we hope you enjoy the video. Jerry will be releasing it soon on the streaming platforms.
Thanks Brad Rudolph

Another review for Evolution song #4 Solitudes Echo
“Solitudes Echo” wastes no time. It rips open with the iconic Twilight Zone intro, instantly plunging you into a world turned upside down. A mournful guitar follows, its notes mirroring the desolate landscape . It’s stark, unnerving, and expertly uses the sample to set the tone. Percussion thrums like a lone pulse.

Its simplicity complements the guitar perfectly, emphasizing the vast emptiness of this changed world. The guitar work is haunting, laden with the sense of bewildered loss . It helps tell the story of someone adrift in a place both foreign and hauntingly familiar. The song shifts gears around the two-minute mark.

The beat surges, transforming it into something more pressing. A raw, almost bluesy guitar riff kicks in – it’s the musical embodiment of defiance in the face of ruin. The track closes with a crescendo of gritty guitar work, a powerful end to this journey. This song is a post-apocalyptic elegy, a lament for a vanished world and a struggle to move forward. It’s a desperate search for connection and a way to forge a future amidst the ruins.

Enchanting guitar tone draws you in with a bluesy melody in “The Muse,” and it wouldn’t be a stretch to say it evokes the spirit of Gary Moore. There’s an instant kinship in its melancholic beauty. Gentle piano notes come in, adding a layer of vulnerability – a yearning nestled within the defiant guitar sound.

Near the midway point, the song hits a dramatic shift. The tempo ramps up, the guitar growls, and the vocals surge with a newfound intensity. It’s unexpected, and a burst of vibrant energy within the song’s overall somber tone. After this surge, the track breathes again, allowing that bluesy atmosphere to wash back in. The vocals here shine, particularly in their interplay with the guitar.

A mantra of my life. I never settle. It has given me great success and at the same time can and will cause tension and conflicts.Thats ok, because it's all about your own path in this life and your happiness. Some people might understand what you are doing others will not. As one who has worn many hats in this life I always will be kind and loving and supportive to those who I meet thats the central theme. This is a big week for me and those who have invested there creativity and talent. 6 Songs and 6 videos that tell the stories are up for The Josie Music Awards. Much going on to be revealed about industry support and playing that music on a tour in 2025. Stay tuned. Yep I'm just a crazy old man in his garage studio. Here is the first of 6 videos from the album EV-O-LUTION. In My Dreams , A fitting title. Never give up on yours.

That guy is deep in thought :) Thank all of you for congratulations on our nomination for independent Rock EP of the year it means allot to ALEX DEW Singer-Songwriter and I. We hope that you actually give the songs a listen if you haven't already to see why this happened.
Now I have to make a decision that has been on my mind for years. How to perform these songs live as it is time. It will require hiring the best players to rehearse and execute the material. Management to handle production / advertising and venue location. If you have listened to the songs on Evolution and my other albums. IM me for details if interested.
