God has been gracious to us and to all the islands of the Caribbean. Hurricane Erin passed north of the islands. We have had just a little rain on the south side of Puerto Rico and the winds have been very calm.

It is God’s grace. Unfortunately, we have a couple of material issues that are limiting SEA HOPE right now. Our air conditioning system is not cooling like it should. A technician replaced both AC compressors Friday and changed the refrigerant. Don’t know if it just needs to be “tweaked” or is something else is amiss. The second issue is more concerning right now. The port diesel generator governor failed…something is locked up inside and when I start the engine it overspeeds. It is way over my pay grade and I don’t know anywhere to send the unit to have it looked at. If anyone knows where you can send a Woodward governor to have it repaired, please let me know. In an emergency we can go to sea as we are (we have the starboard generator and the auxiliary generator) but it is not good to have one of your generators out of commission.
