I don't generally post photos of truly finished, polished, and framed mosaics. Most of them are usually leaning on the wall, laying on the floor, or sitting on an easel when I take the photos I post here. So, I'm going to try to post some truly finished photos!
If anyone is looking for a good place to buy frames, I like Florida Frames... you can order custom sizes that aren't very expensive, so using your scrap substrates of weird dimensions isn't an issue! Anyone have any other frame suppliers they like?
This winter gate, stained glass mosaic, measures 26" x 20".

Fun with fish ! I color my own glass, repurposing common window (float) glass. I had seen a post a few months ago, where the artist divided the space with lines - it was a challenge ! 18”x 18” - Progress photos in the comments -

Roxie is all done! I love how she's sitting akimbo...
She is made with stained glass, hand made (by me) glazed ceramic tiles and filati* for her whiskers and other bits.
The substrate is 3/8 inch baltic birch plywood that I cut out with a jig saw, and was edged with 1/8 inch walnut hardwood pieces that I cut into strips on my table saw, then cut into smaller pieces with a tiny hand miter saw.
She is 13x 23 inches.
*Filati is smalti that has been melted and pulled into thin threads, either flat, round or shaped. This is cut and placed on end, cut side up.

i would love to see everyone’s favorite piece they created this year! along with one mosaic goal for 2024.
Here’s mine “cloudy days”. my goal for next year is to create more of what i love, rather than what i think people want to see

It’s been slow to get any studio time to work on one of my most intricate projects. But I’ve finally finished the second of three pink lilies on this table top😅
