UPDATE: Thanks to an overwhelming response, these openings have been FILLED! Thank you to every building leader who expressed an interest for their school to be involved. We appreciate everything that you are doing to help your students and their teachers.

Our mission is to help as many people as possible become proficient readers. At this time, we are able to offer the curriculum to other interested schools for the one-time cost of reproducing it. We are currently able to provide support at no cost for those who are using the Secret Codes. We also continue to offer affordable professional development for teachers, interventionists, and other professionals on other topics, including dyslexia, the Science of Reading, ADHD, MTSS, and more. All inquiries and needs can be directed to [email protected].

As always, curricula and other materials are available to schools and families from JETT Publishing.

LATE NOTICE

The Center for Reading is looking to add one or two schools that have a large number of struggling readers to our project. We will provide the training to their teachers and the curriculum at no cost. The project will begin mid-September and runs through the rest of this academic year.

We are primarily interested in kindergarten but for very low-performing schools, we can add 1st grade too. Based on past performance, we expect to reduce the number of struggling readers to 10% or fewer.

We applaud the progress being demonstrated at the Center for Reading and the students and interventionists who are making it happen! We are honored for our Secret Codes curriculum to be a part of it.

Traditional school may be out for summer, but our students have been hard at work! Many students with dyslexia put in time and effort after school and during their breaks to improve their skills. We have been having so much fun this summer and impressed with all the progress happening with our students. Join us in giving them a round of applause for all of their hard work!

Students are already in their third week of this research-based summer literacy program! 🔍🐜 We are so excited to learn how much their skills improve over these 8 weeks. 📖📈

The first week of Secret Codes Camp 2025 was a success! We have really enjoyed getting to know students so far. This week, we started to teach "the code" of letter-sound correspondences. We are looking forward to several more weeks with students in camp this summer!

Secret Codes Camp is in full swing at the Center for Reading. During this high-quality summer literacy program, students navigate the evidence-based Secret Codes curriculum with trained instructors. In doing so, students in camp learn "the code" of letter-sound correspondences and become better readers and spellers!
