New plants to add to the collection. I bought some cool carnivorous plants from curious plants. They arrived amazingly healthy and happy. Check them out while I unbox them.

The genus Pinguicula, aka butterwort, is a group of carnivorous plants known for their use of sticky leaves to trap insects for a type of self fertilization.

Like all plants, pings need sunshine and water to thrive. unlike most aroids, they get most of their nutrients from their leaves. Pings are know for their shallow roots, they can cling to rocky surfaces and thrive in the oddest of places.

I wanted to see if I could take advantage of the indifference pings seem to have regarding their anchor and see if they would thrive on a 3d printed model made with PLA basic filament.

Quick update on the Alocasia corms in our alocasia corm media experiment. Its been 3 weeks and there is growth in every tray.

Additionally, I added anthurium seeds to the experiment and the seeds I acquired get potted up!

Looks who's finally waking up! So excited to see all this new growth on my sarracenia. Sarracenia are the north American pitcher plant. A carnivorous genus of plants. They go dormant in winter and come out to say hi in spring. Come summer these plants will be huge and full of beautiful colors.
