I may have procrastinated on filing the appropriate paperwork with our district (I did), but these kids are officially registered as homeschoolers in the state of Pennsylvania now.

Happy first official day of school, Gabuzdas!

Lillian (10th), Miles (9th), Eleanor (7th) and Elias (5th) are in for their best year yet. I just know it. πŸ₯Ήβ€οΈ

Baby's First Day of College Classes 🍎

I'm not sure how it will go (and we, thankfully, don't need to stress about it too much, because grades don't automatically go on their transcripts), but Lillian and Miles are trying out some Arizona State University classes this term. We're all pretty excited about it - I mean, M even smiled and gave me permission to post this. Enough said.

Wishing everyone out there in Facebook-land a happy, healthy, and productive school year. xo

We aren't fully unpacked, are knee deep in projects, and I'm still only operating at about 50% after this long flare up, but these kids have been busy.

I'm so grateful for friends and family who've organized lots of fun things and take extra photos so I don't feel like I'm missing it all.

And, while sad to see May end (especially since I've been in bed for most of it), it's exciting to think about what life will feel like after we feel more settled in our new home.

The kids are all signed up for a lot of camps, summer swim team, some volunteer shifts at the community garden, WE HAVE BABY CHICKENS - and they're growing so fast, and we have so many fun camping trips and homeschool meetups to look forward to.

All that to say, bring it on, June. ❀️

I'm weak from a month in bed and still in some pain, but small joys like these are carrying me.

1. When my pain levels allow, audiobooks are a brilliant way to travel away from my bed - bonus points when I can enjoy them while soaking in the fleeting Pittsburgh sun.
2. A cosy sit in the rocking chair or hammock is EVERYTHING. It's hard for me to sit for long, but I so enjoy being around the family even when I can't physically do much.
3. Special drinks make hydration feel like a treat. It's a diet limeade with strawberry mix-in for me. 😍
4. When I can't leave my bed, an open window can be an instant mood booster. I love listening to the birds and the trees blowing in the wind.

What helps you most when a flare has got you down?

This is a chicken page now. All advice is welcome.
