An avid music lover, making CD mixes for friends, and always choosing music at parties, DJ Crush's life changed in 2004 after a phone call from his cousin. It's like the stars aligned when he needed a DJ for a fraternity social event. Because his cousin Joe recently took off his blazer, loosened up the tie, stepped inside the phone booth, and became DJ Underdog. Like in most aspects of his life, T
ony followed suit and DJ Crush was born. DJ Crush has been providing ear candy to Western Pennsylvania residents since 2004. As a resident DJ at Finn McCool's and the Claddagh Irish Pub early in his career, he was a pillar of the Southside DJ community. Additionally, he’s provided the soundtrack for many academic and corporate events throughout his career. With over 300 weddings under his belt, Crush has partied with a lot of couples. Most of the year you'll find him behind the turntables celebrating nuptials with newlyweds. As a result of couples' kind words, he has been named Best of Weddings each year since 2019 and eventually received the Hall of Fame nod. Being able to play in so many different environments, Crush has a pulse on his crowds and can read them very well, so he's comfortable playing for any type of crowd. As a lifelong Pittsburgher, Crush and his Doberman, Kennedy, live in the Brookline neighborhood.
