For auld lang syne ✨however your 2021 happened, I’m glad you made it here.

This month’s episode is a recap of my year based on the goals I wrote on January 1st. My word of 2021 was ‘intention’. This year was all about taking back control of how I live and moving with purpose. In the categories of school, money, love, business and self , listen as I recap and review the past 12 months.

In 2022, I’m excited to invest even more in myself and see what the pod and can achieve. Here’s to more ease, assuredness and forward movement in whatever the new year brings you 🥂

From me to you, THANK YOU! 💗

This year has been one of my most tumultuous growing seasons and often times this show was the only thing I had to look forward to. While I’m not in it for the numbers, this is an amazing accomplishment that proves transparency and vulnerability are strengths that will take you far.

This little Black girl from Akron has become a woman, found her voice and is brave enough to share it with the world. Thank you x1000 over, and stay tuned for all that’s to come 🥂✨

The newest addition to the EDB Universe… my own Etsy shop! 🛍

I’ve been really focused on learning new ways to save and improve my relationship with money over these last few months. The system and personal finance/budgeting community of women on YouTube have inspired me to start a side hustle that will help me reach my money goals. As a self proclaimed Canva pro who loves a good planner & to do list, you can expect to find organizational and educational printables (in fun themes and colors) in my shop!

To start, I’ve created 3 graduate school application checklist sets that I wish I had at the beginning of my application journey. All three themes are now available for purchase 🤓

It’s easy to feel like what we have to offer isn’t good or unique enough, but there is literally no one else who can create in the beautiful way that you can! There’s room for everyone at the table, and I’m claiming my seat.

An episode about moving on and changing released in the fall, how groundbreaking 🍂

I may not agree with Summer Walker on….really anything 🥴 but her new album’s release has got everyone talking about their relationships and heartbreak. I wholeheartedly rebuke the struggle love that is unfortunately so common, but my first heartbreak was no walk in the park.

In this week’s episode (probably my most candid yet), I follow along with ‘s ‘7 things we don’t want to hear about on closure’ post, and share my experiences with each step; all of which really hit me hard after I was confronted with my unresolved emotions irl 😳.

I’m allowing myself to feel and finding strength in my vulnerability; I hope you enjoy listening to the journey ✨

It’s a new month and season, but sometimes you find yourself right where you were before….

Was very close to calling this episode, “aw 💩, here we go again” 💀. Lately I’ve been realizing that I come back to the same thought patterns, anxieties and emotions… and ion really like that 😩

This episode is more of a brain dump inspired by this post about revisiting old lessons. ➡️ And right on time, my fave just dropped a project all about her mental health struggles and it’s been on repeat. I deeply relate, plus it’s a banger 🙌🏽

Whether you can relate personally or not, I hope it helps you understand someone in your life dealing with the same things. enjoy ✨

My name is Erica and I'm awkward....and Black, and a woman. All three things generally associated with having a hard time navigating life. If you’d ask me what my most embarrassing moment was, I’d have a lot to sort through 😖

This week I'm talking all things awkward, social anxiety, sensitivities and introversion through the Black female lens (shoutout , our fearless leader). The way awkward black girls live life should honestly entitle us to financial compensation, but I got was some lessons learned about protecting access to my energy and trusting my intuition.

This episode is for all the awkward black people of any kind, and the extroverts that can learn a little something about us😙. Listen now where all podcasts can be found

“Mom, can you come pick me up? I’m scared 😱” - me, until about October of junior year 😅

Today is my first day of class for my senior year of college and this weeks episode covers my feelings on approaching the end of the road.

To be honest, I’m ready to be done but I’m scared of what will happen next 😬. This episode discusses my college expectations and letdowns, future plans meshing with the present, and making the most of every moment. To all my fellow students, we got this! Wear your mask, be safe and take care of yourself first.

🎶 we fall down, but we get up🎶 We back; a new episode of PFMN is now live!

Spiraling, breakdowns and going haywire are not unfamiliar concepts to the average college student or functioning human being. I definitely struggle with the pressure to “have it all together” all of the time, but that’s just not reality.

This week's episode is all about how to embrace our messy moments by treating ourselves with grace and compassion. Listen for my tips on building in structure and routine to help you recognize, prepare for and learn from your out of control life moments.

Let’s talk about social anxiety and our relationships 😬👯‍♀️

So many good experiences in life are made less so because we constantly overthink and miss ways to connect with others. We constantly worry over how we look and act that we forget to live. This week, we're exploring the possibilities that appear when we step away from our inner monologue and allow others to see us as we are.

Use these mantras as assistance for living in the moment, developing friendships and expanding your social comfort zone ✨
