Dinner at Sanaa was such a special family night for this mom, Nana, and our 1-year-old!

We loved the gluten-free bread service, the fenugreek-scented tomato soup, and the delicious lamb kefta. After dinner we explored the beautiful lobby, browsed the shops, and even stopped at Mara for a Mickey ice cream bar. The highlight for our little one? Watching the animals right from the restaurant windows and the viewing decks at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge 🦒🐘 — pure Disney magic for all ages!

When we’re back home in Pittsburgh, a stop at Page’s is always on our family list 🍦💛. This South Side staple has been serving up soft-serve since 1951, and four generations later it’s still the spot locals line up for on opening day. From the famous Nancy B’s cookie sundae to new non-dairy options, there’s something for everyone — which makes it perfect for a travel family like ours. Home sweet home (with sprinkles on top ✨).

Disney Day!

We woke up early and headed to Olivia’s Cafe at Disney’s Old Key West resort for breakfast!

The resort sits on the water way to Disney Springs and is incredibly calm and a completely different vibe than most other resorts!

We walked around the resort and checked out the gift shop before our table was ready!

Our server was Michelle and as soon as she saw my allergy menu, she let me know that even though it wasn’t on the menu, I could order Gluten Free Mickey Waffles in place of the pancake breakfast. Which of course , I then had to do! Who can say no to Mickey waffles? Not a pregnant lady, that is for sure! Patrish got the Olivia’s breakfast and the lil man had scrambled eggs, sausage and apple slices. We opened our mystery pin boxes while we waited for our check! Check out the blog to see what we got!

After breakfast, we headed to the boat dock and took the 10-min boat ride to Disney Springs. The boats start around 10am and run every 20-25 minutes until 11ish. Our main goal was to find my mom and I magic band+ and pin trade!

We spent a couple hours wandering around Disney Springs, grabbed Joffrey’s, a new Mickey shirt from Uniqlo and got the little man a Mickey Mouse and Winnie the Pooh plush keychain!
Mom hack: find the plush keychains and ask the cast member at the register for scissors and cut the plushies off! They get a new plush and you get a new bag charm keychain!

We found our Hundred Acre Wood friends and took a picture! This is our favorite picture spot in Disney Springs!

✨9 years ago, Katie was wandering Switzerland and Germany with her parents—hiking through the breathtaking Swiss Alps, exploring Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany, visiting the tiny Tell’s Kapelle, and ending it all on the sweetest note at Cailler’s Chocolate Factory 🍫⛰️🏰.

A trip full of memories! 💛

Disney’s Polynesian Resort!

This is the third time we have had dinner at Kona Cafe at the Polynesian on travel day! The food is always amazing, the service is spot on and the atmosphere is the perfect mix of relaxing and exciting!

The allergy menu is quite extensive, I mean it’s Disney after all but the options at Kona Cafe are two sides of a menu! That might not seem crazy, but to my allergy people, it’s everything! We typically have three options to choose from and typically is plain chicken, a veggie and rice or a salad, so to have options that have sauce is amazing!

We ordered the allergy friendly glazed sticky wings and the Sautéed Red Quinoa! The other two meals are not allergy friendly, kids chicken tacos without the gorilla and a side of greenbeans and fruit and the adult marinated chicken!

After dinner we walked around the resort and outside cast members had brought out hooks hoops for kids to play with! Little ones under a year to 12+ were all playing different games, seeing how many hula hoops they could hoop at one time, make jumping games with family members holding the hoops to jump through, laying them on the ground jumping hoop to hoop! We played for 20 or so minutes, made new friends and laughed until our bellies and smiles.

We decided to take a walk over to the new Polynesian towers and passed a gentleman playing Ukele and singing! Lil man danced and clapped and waved to people as they passed! The new hotel is beautiful and the Wailulu Bar and Grill looks awesome! There is a view of Seven Seas Lagoon, the Grand Floridian, the Contemporay and far off in the distance you can see Cinderella’s Castle! I bet it would be a great spot to watch fireworks from a distance!

I love that Disney has so many allergy friendly options for all of us gluten free people!

Allergy Friendly Mickey waffles are not on the menu but our wonderful waitress saw my allergy menu and let me know! What a gem!

We heard about the team coming back in February and entered into a raffle which then put you in another raffle for June! Then the June raffle gave you your section and then two weeks before the game, you found out your seats!

Chris did each step and we turned it into a date night! The experience was unreal! The game truly felt like a show! We would absolutely go again, if we were able to get tickets!

We made friends with the Texas Tailgaters coach! Who told us “congratulations” and was very sweet!

Oh yeah, and Mr. Beast showed up and gave away $100K+

We finally took some time off from busy mom life and spent an unforgettable weekend at Oglebay Resort in Wheeling, West Virginia. From relaxing at the lodge and exploring the beautiful grounds to spa time, drinks and endless laughter, this trip was all about recharging and reconnecting with friends. Oglebay is the perfect spot for a mom's weekend getaway!
