PCTV will soon be shutting down it's Facebook, YouTube, X, and Instagram accounts. Fortunately, PCTV has preserved a large amount of programming. To access it, visit archive.org and search for pctv21 or the name of the program you're interested in. It also includes a large number of programs that were on our YouTube page.

It was good feeling to donate equipment and other items to nonprofits we've worked with over the years. It was a sad day today as most of the contents of our space was cleared out. But it was never the things that made PCTV what it was, it was the people. Thanks for a wonderful 38 years!

Thanks to everyone who came to last night's farewell party. What a pleasure it was to see old friends. Chuck Vukotich, the founding board president of PCTV, was there. We even had two past interns show up, Doug Mabry and Devonn Brown.

Please join us as we reflect on PCTV's 38 years of service to the community. Come share your stories and hang out in the studio one last time before we close our doors. Help us celebrate all the good that PCTV has done over the years. Enjoy some food, drink and good company. Drop in any time between 4 and 8 pm on September 5th. We'd love to see you!

Our last day of programs airing on the channel will be September 7th.

Programs will be available on demand on Apple TV, ROKU, Fire TV, iOS, pctv21.org through September 30th.

Dear PCTV Supporter—

As a follow up to our recent message about our closure, I wanted to provide you with some important dates and information.

Over the next few weeks, we will gradually scale down our services. Here are the key dates:

August 16th – last day to request digital copies of shows in our archives (see below)
August 22nd – last day to use Studio A
August 22nd – last day to submit a program
August 29th – last day to check out portable equipment
August 29th – last day to use Studio B for podcast
August 30th – last day to use the edit suite
September 14th – PCTV’s last day of broadcast (subject to change)

Other important items:

If there are shows in our archives you need copies of, we are able to provide digital copies only. Contact Production Manager Doug Drew at [email protected]. August 16th is the last day to make your request.

If you prepaid your membership, you will receive a refund for months beyond the end of August. There is no need to contact us. You will receive a check in the mail in September.

We would like to have a get together with friends of PCTV sometime in September. A date will be announced soon.

Here is a list of places you might want to consider if you plan to continue producing programming. Keep in mind that you will likely need a sponsor who lives in one of these areas in order to use the services.

Here's an article about PCTV's closure on TribLive. The article states that the city has plans to support public access by the end of the year, which is good.
