UPDATE: From Allegheny County 9-1-1:

As of 12:00 AM July 12, all Allegheny County 9-1-1 systems are stable and fully functional. The same has been reported from 9-1-1 centers across the Commonwealth. As of 9:30 AM today, ACES continues to have no issues related to yesterday’s statewide intermittent 9-1-1 phone system problems.

We continue to monitor all systems and communicate with our PEMA and statewide 9-1-1 partners regarding the statewide system status and the root cause analysis process.

As a reminder, anyone needing to call 9-1-1 to report an emergency in Allegheny County may continue to call by dialing 9-1-1.

After heavy storms and flooding affected much of the Mon Valley earlier this summer, Mon-Yough Trail Council was glad to see that its section of the Great Allegheny Passage didn’t have any weather-related damage.

Thankfully, volunteers have been able to focus on their usual summer maintenance readying this part of the trail for their busiest season. Stacy Alderman caught up with them:
