Heard about MindQuest at AVA yet? It's an awesome Friday night event where middle-schoolers can play chess, board games, and cards; compete in Jeopardy AND a trivia bowl; and enjoy pizza and snacks while hanging out with their friends! We are thrilled to welcome another exceptional instructor to our staff! Dr. Vidya Venugopal holds a Masters degree in Biostatistics and a Ph.D. in Epidemiology -- both from Johns Hopkins University. A resident of Upper St. Clair, she is currently working with our students as a tutor for AP Statistics and as an instuctor for the math portion of SAT prep. Dr. Venugopal has also quickly become an important member of our Curriculum Advisory Committee. We are so fortunate to have her on the AVA team!

WHEW! Good to have those first nine weeks out of the way, isn't it? Time to look ahead to the next round! Registration is now open for many of our weekly group sessions, designed to keep students ahead of the game as the year goes on. New groups in 7th Grade math, Algebra 1, Geometry, and AP Calculus AB start next week, so head to absval.net/homework-help/ and secure a spot for your child!
