Today is officially my last day with Butler County Parks and Recreation at Alameda Park! It is a bittersweet day for sure. Thank you again to Lance & Ashely for this incredible opportunity. Taking on this role was challenging and fun at the same time. I'll miss being a pretend park ranger!

I admit that my time at Alameda Park is almost over, and it's bittersweet. Last winter, I took a chance and applied to Butler County Parks and Recreation after being turned down by Cranberry Township. I didn't think I'd hear back from Alameda Park, but they called me in for an interview. It was a tough interview, especially since I'm a communications/marketing student and they had only ever had one summer intern before, who was a parks and recreation student. So, they were understandably skeptical about what I could bring to the table.
