So excited to share that Kate Flannery was in the studio recently! You probably recognize her as Meredith from The Office, a TV show that the whole team here at Red Caiman loves! It was a treat to have her in the studio.

We’re sad to share that our friend and team member Hollis Greathouse passed away last week. Hollis was an incredible producer, artist, and engineer. It’s been heartening to see others share their stories and memories of him, and that others saw the endlessly kind and generous person he was. His contribution to the music community is massive. He wrote, recorded, produced, and performed music for decades, and touched the lives of countless people. We’re grateful to have called him a colleague and friend.

The team is all hands on deck today, prepping for a band session tomorrow where we’ll be recording songs for four different artists! We had three team members writing out chord charts for our session musicians while other team members set up our Studio A.

Yesterday we hosted a wonderful event with the 48 Hour Film Festival and QWED Crew Connect, featuring a panel discussion with Red Caiman team members Jesse and Shawn, as well as special guest composer Nathaniel Blume. Big thanks to Sunken Bus for being able to use their space, and thanks to everyone who came out and participated, it was a great success!
