Words fail to describe the joy I have felt reuniting with so many of Bruce's friends, colleagues, and students through this show.

In addition to paintings, drawings, SX-70 polaroids, sculptures, collectables, a light table with photographic slides, photographs, and conceptual art pieces by Bruce and Phil Rostek entitled, The Museum of Modern Air and the American River Watercolor Society.
There is a "reading room" reminiscent of Bruce's studio on the top floor of the fine arts building where you sit and read books, look at newspaper articles, magazines, testimonials, and correspondence.
There is a digital retrospective of paintings and drawings we do not have as well as "live" samples of The DAX Groups slow-scan television (SSTV) work.
Co-curator, David Conrad, and I are very pleased with how things turned out. We believe the show offers a glimpse into the spirit of Bruce and his life as an artist.

Any former students of Bruce who wish to have some of your work included in our exhibit should contact me, Jefferson Breland, at [email protected].

Also, if you have any stories about Bruce you would like share send those to me as well. I am looking for as complete a picture of Bruce's teaching career as possible. Since he taught from 1950 to 1991- there might be something worth sharing.

Once I get an idea of how many people would like to be involved, I will devise a plan. So far, I am relying on the Tao.

Stay tuned for news about a retrospective exhibit of Bruce's influences, passions, gizmos, ephemera, and work in as many media as we can gather. The exhibit will be at the Unsmoke Systems Artspace in Braddock, PA in late Spring-ish, 2023. Former students of Bruce please inquire about contributing to the exhibit- your work and stories are welcome.

Over the past two months, I was in Spokane preparing the Breland family home for sale. I prepared pieces by Bruce and me for transport to family and friends and left the remainder to the fate of an estate sale. I am overjoyed that all the remaining artwork was sold and is headed to new homes. (For the record, if it didn't sell, I was going to take it home with me.)
I am overjoyed that I was able to talk about Bruce, his artwork, his teaching career, the many relationships he forged with other extraordinary people, and that his artwork will be seen by new people.

Bruce was reading this guy in the mid-80's- The Global Brain.
I am deeply moved that key figures in Bruce's philosophy of art have been turning up in my life as I train in the healing arts.
