After sitting on a shelf complete for over 3 years, I’m finally going to publish The Awakening—Book One of “A Twist of Faith Trilogy”. I’ve found that submitting a 500-word query letter to potential literary agents is not for me. Of course, I did attempt this method initially, but after sending out a few dozen queries over the initial few years—being ignored or vetoed via a form rejection letter does not mean this book isn’t amazing.
The Awakening could even be the next big breakout novel—an unforgettable story that stands out and one that breaks all the rules! No, I’m not talking about another Fifty Shades or Twilight, PLEASE, NO! I’m talking about a narrative that draws you into a woman’s journey back after 3 decades of living her life in fear and trusting no one because of the tragic events from her past. Drawing on real events suffered when she was only 17 years old, this story delivers such authenticity and raw emotion in the storytelling that you can’t help but root for her to succeed and experience a happy ending!
Knowing how powerful the messages are in this novel, I realize now more than ever it needs to be out there in the world for people to read. It’s not about making millions of dollars—it’s about telling a story that hopefully helps others who have been through similar situations find their way to healing and wholeness. I hope and pray these words will resonate with readers and can somehow give them the strength and guidance to get through their own afflictions.
