PIE - Pittsburgh Indie Expo

PIE - Pittsburgh Indie Expo Admission is free and the event is open to the public. PIX 2017 will be held from 11:00am to 6:00pm.

PIE - Pittsburgh Indie Expo (formerly PIX: Pittsburgh Indy Comics Expo) - Celebrating creator-owned, self-published, small-press, and handmade comics in Pittsburgh & beyond! On Sunday, April 9, 2017 The ToonSeum will present the sixth Pittsburgh Independent Comics Expo (PIX), Pittsburgh’s annual exposition devoted to creator-owned, self-published, small-press, and handmade comics. An important cha

nge to note is that PIX will be moving to a NEW LOCATION – actually locations – in 2017: The August Wilson Center located at 980 Liberty Avenue in Downtown Pittsburgh will be the setting of the exhibition component of PIX, while programs will be held at The ToonSeum, located directly across the street at 945 Liberty Ave. At the August Wilson Center, attendees will have the opportunity to survey and sample a wide variety of independently produced and published, creator-owned works produced by the far ranging talents of the comics artists and cartoonists currently flourishing in the tri-state area and beyond. Across the street, The Toonseum will be concurrently hosting the programming – consisting of artist presentations, creator panels, and more! Further announcements concerning guests, exhibitors and programs will be forthcoming. Be sure to check in with PIX 2017 at:

We're still reeling from the whirlwind that was PIE 2025! Thank you to every exhibitor, attendee, and volunteer for making it a wild success. So grateful for the guidance and encouragement every step of the way from our advisors Bill Boichel, Juan Jose Fernandez, Steph Neary and John Peña!

Thanks to PIE volunteers Jasmin Ali-Diaz, Megan B., Ryan F. G., Gretchen Lecrone, Duff Norris, Cole Skuse, Dylan Staib and David William. (Plus Carlos who shared and promoted the show relentlessly from day 1!)

The Mobile Cartoon! Museum makes its debut at the Pittsburgh Indie Expo: PIE this March 30th. Attendance to the Expo is FREEEEEEEE!

Our debut exhibit called "A Slice of Pittsburgh" aims to curate, catalog, collect, and celebrate the amazing cartoonists and comics creators who call this city home!

The Mobile Cartoon Museum will also feature self-paced comics creation exploration, an on-site resident teaching cartoonist, and hands-on exploratory activities. (I won't overhype, but it's the start and return of something BIG for the Pittsburgh community!!!)

The exhibit will be open throughout the Duration of PIE and feature three on-site workshops from Carina Stopenski and Geoff Munn that aim to get you In Toon with the festivities.
