Visa Introduces a Platform to Assist Banks in Issuing Stablecoins Worldwide

A platform enabling banks to generate fiat-backed tokens, such tokenized deposits and stablecoins, is being launched by Visa Inc. as more companies and financial institutions show interest in the ways that blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies may enhance their operations.

Restructuring the Grid for AI and Net Zero: The Energy Chief

John Pettigrew is at the forefront of the green movement in the US and the UK as the CEO of National Grid Plc. In order to electrify the economy and move away from fossil fuels, building out power lines is essential. The 55-year-old industry veteran compares the endeavor to Britain's brisk Victorian-era infrastructure construction.
Speaking with Bloomberg, Pettigrew—who joined National Grid shortly after its privatization in the early 1990s—discussed the scope of the task at hand, potential roadblocks, and whether or not nuclear fusion is actually necessary to meet AI's power requirements.
