Back in 2008/9, while working at PCTV, we had the honor of spending a couple days with the Pittsfield Fire Department producing a show we called, In Their Shoes. Deputy Chief (at the time) Bob Czerwinski was our main contact and an integral part of the production. His ability to talk on camera and deliver so much information while always being entertaining was something that really made the program. For the nearly two decades that have followed since that show, there was never a time I would see Bob that he wouldn't have a big smile on his face, crack a joke and have a nice conversation, often remembering filming this show. For whatever reason, it seems this short moment in time was something that he loved and carried with him all these years. I feel the same way. Riding around with him, I learned so much about him, his life, and his true passion for his work. It was one of the most memorable productions I have ever been a part of and Bob will truly be missed. Rest easy, Chief.
