Hi everyone! 👋 Happy New Year! With the start of 2026, I thought it was the perfect time to re-introduce myself.

My name is Sabrina Bennett, and I’m the founder of Five More Minutes.

Five More Minutes is a service providing legacy interview videos that helps senior adults - or anyone at any age - preserve their life story and advice for their families.

Through guided interviews, we capture a person’s memories, life lessons, and any advice they want to leave behind for the people they love. These videos become a keepsake that families can hold onto for years to come.

A little about me:
I was raised in the Greater Sacramento area and met my husband in our high school media class in Placer County, the place we've called home since our wedding in December of 2015. We just celebrated 10 years this past December ❤️

We have two beautiful children, Emma (5) & Dean (4), and a very loving German Shepherd named Lola (10).

I’m so grateful you’re here and honored to help families preserve what matters most. These stories are our way of giving families something timeless - because after a loved one is gone, all you really want is Five More Minutes.

📩 If you or someone you love has a story worth saving, I’d be honored to help. Send me a message or visit the link in my bio to learn more about booking a legacy interview.

Happy New Year!

In the spring of 2025, we launched Five More Minutes, and we are incredibly grateful for the opportunities, the people we’ve met, and most of all, the stories we’ve been honored to help preserve. What a wonderful year it was!

As we look ahead to 2026, we’re excited to meet new people and continue creating meaningful video keepsakes that families can treasure forever. Every story matters, and it’s a privilege to help capture them.

If you or a loved one has a story you’d like preserved, we’d love to connect.

Happy New Year, everyone - we hope 2026 is as special as your story is ❤️

Happy Birthday to Mel, aka Papa!

To the wonderful patriarch of the family I married into - we are so excited to celebrate your 88th birthday! You are truly one of the most caring, loving, and kind people we know. You and Nana show your family such unconditional love, and I deeply admire the beautiful legacy the two of you have built over your 66-year long marriage (and counting!).

We hope you have the best day celebrating 88 healthy, joyful years of a truly wonderful life!

We love you, Papa!

❤️ National Grief Awareness Day ❤️

Grief is something I never fully understood until I experienced it myself. Before the passing of my dad in February of 2023, I always thought grieving people 'moved on' after the funeral happened or shortly after. But a month after my dad passed, I had my first panic attack, and I quickly realized that grief doesn’t have an expiration date. It's not something you 'get over.' It’s something you learn to live with, and it's a process.

I’ve had my ups and downs, and I want to share the 5 main things that helped me along the way, in case it can help someone else:

1. Turning to God - I found comfort in surrendering my anxiety, guilt, and regrets to Him. I remember reading a Max Lucado book where he discussed loneliness being a chance to lean on God. That resonated deeply with me- I learned to lean on God more than ever over these last 2.5 years.

2. Grief Share - I joined a GriefShare group and it was a game changer. Being around people who truly understood what I was going through was more comforting than I could have imagined. I was able to express what I was actually feeling, crazy and all, and they all understood. If you’re grieving, I highly recommend checking out a Grief Share group near you.

3. "Anxious for Nothing" by Max Lucado - This book helped me feel less crazy and gave me practical advice on understanding my anxiety and where to go from there.

4. Scripture Music - I found comfort in listening to soothing worship music. Hearing God's promises was a reminder that He is with me, always. Specifically, the song "Back to Life" by Bethel Music & Zahriya Zachary as well as Scripture Lullabies which has several albums.

5. Self-Care - I’ll admit, it sounds cliché, but eating better and going on walks helped so much. The energy drinks had to stop. I could feel my anxiety worsening every time I drank them (sometimes I still sneak half of my favorite brand...). My daily walks are a time for uninterrupted time with God, and it's one of my favorite parts of my day.

Grief doesn’t have a timeline, and it doesn’t follow a straight path. But you are allowed to take your time. If you're struggling, I encourage you to reach out, whether it's through a support group, reading, or simply connecting with others who understand what you're going through.

My heart goes out to anyone who is grieving right now. I never truly understood the depth of grief until it was my own experience, but I hope that sharing my story can offer even a small piece of comfort. You're not alone, and there’s always hope for healing. ❤️

I’m excited to collaborate with First40! I had the honor of being featured in their blog to share a little bit about Five More Minutes Video ❤️

“What would you say if you had five more minutes with them?”

It’s the question that shaped Sabrina Bennett’s mission — and it’s one that resonates deeply with us at First40.

After losing her dad, Sabrina started Five More Minutes Video to help others honor those they’ve loved and lost. Through video storytelling, she’s created a space where memory turns into something beautiful — and something shared.

This month, we had the honor of talking with Sabrina about her grief, her mission, and the quiet power of remembering.

💛 Read the full conversation on our blog: http://bit.ly/44UO62d

And check out her work at fivemoreminutesvideo.com — it’s tender, thoughtful, and full of heart.
