Participants in the previous class as well as new listeners are invited to join in the continuing discussion. This Fall weโ€™ll read King Lear and look at some of the issues this play raises: family relationships, political intrigue, ambition, money, aging, and more. Any of this sound familiar? As you read the play you may wonder when it was written โ€“ have times really changed much? Thatโ€™s the beauty of Shakespeare. He always captures the timeless. If you can read the first act before the first class that would be great. Any text will do.
