After over two years of planning and months of project managing, we are in the final days of the new WGDR antenna install project! We are on pace to have the install done in June, still on our project timeline and within our projected budget.

On “crossover day” we will be having planned broadcast outages at 91.1 FM. We will announce this on the air, that day. We need to do a range of safety and regulation testing, so full transition to the new antenna has some variation we need to work with. We have back up broadcast ready to go if this is the case and we will keep you updated.

Even though we are sold out for the live audience of WGDR, Live from Barre tonight. You can still listen on your radios or stream it!

🎤 Executive Director, Llu Mulvaney-Stanak will give a "state of the station" update for all

🎤 And, have DJ Xav spinning tunes throughout the show

We are still taking donations in honor of the new WGDR antenna going up, 53 years of WGDR being on the air, and 5 years of CVCR leading the community ownership of the station. Donate at WGDR.org, we're really close to hitting our goal of raising $911 for 91.1 FM (WGDR's frequency that is about to get much further).

Don't miss our very first live variety show, broadcast directly from Barre this Friday at the Barre Social Club! This is a variety show featuring talent from the Central Vermont Community Radio airwaves as well as the local community. You'll be our live audience, while we live broadcast this out on the airwaves to even more Vermonters thanks to the new WGDR antenna that will be up in time for this show.

We know you are all waiting for the big news about the new WGDR antenna going up. We've been busier than the spring bees working on all the many project parts. Come play Music Bingo with us this Saturday, 6-8pm, at the Jeudevine Memorial Library. Suggested donation fo $10 at the door for 6 rounds of family friendly bingo.

📻 WGDR New Antenna Update 📻

As you know, we are working hard on preparing the new tower site for the brand new WGDR antenna. This will go up in the next few weeks. We'll let everyone know when we've made the switch of tower locations so you can tune in and hear the difference at 91.1 FM.

This will significantly improve broadcast coverage in Barre, Montpelier, and surrounding areas. We're excited to see by how much and you're reports of "yes, I can hear you now!" are going to help us map out our new reach. Stay tuned for more!
